So most people have had a summer where they made all kinds of plans. I had one of those a few years back. It had show marathons with colorful junk food, rigorously-planned visits to theme parks and zoos...but the rides were too fast and the sun was always too bright. Nothing ended up as fun as I planned.
In mid-August, I sat on the porch of a cabin overlooking the woods, watching a you-had-to-be-there sunset. I knew this was what I really wanted, and met the next day with a grin.

Dear Eluned, you will never believe what recently happened to me.
Earlier this summer I made a lovely cruise and expected a nice and relaxing time. Suddenly, the weather changed so fast, our mighty ship flipped over and we all had to swim for our lives!
After hours of struggling I finally reached the shore! But what a strange sight it gave to me: Colourful birds, tiny scorpions and a guy, dressed like apeman frightened me to death!
I waited until apeman went for his slumber and stole the pineapple plant, standing right behind him to satisfy my hunger (there was a fishing spot nearby, but as you know I do not eat animals). In the twilight of the tropic night I spotted an even stranger sight: Small, creepy monkeys kept climbing up and down trees and ropes, restless and almost frantic! Has any human beeing ever seen such unexpected things?
Fortunally I was rescued on the next day and after a while this memory seems to be the product of my sun-baked and starving mind and body.
And if my life would depend on it: I will never be able to find this odd place again nor will I ever again put my feet on the sand of this shore of nightmares.
Forever yours, Branwen

Summer 2011 Junefest meet up.
Sunday afternoon was spent in Parker's Piece Cambridge with a group of ‘festers’ who shall remain nameless. The sun was scorching, for a change, so some of them decided to go to the local swimming pool to cool off. Not one of them thought to take a towel. Returning later, dressed only in swimming trunks and dripping wet, they dashed back to the park across a main road in front of some extremely bemused motorists. They then proceeded to melee each other with plastic swords and shields ‘till they dried off.
Oh the memory.

In the spirit of summer I’ll make pies filled with fruit,
Sit in the garden, dressed in my tropical suit,
While I plan which new victims to recruit.
Take part in the games, chase cheese downhill,
Later, take it easy with friends as we skill.
We’ll drink drunk dragons,
‘Til it seems like we’re laggin’,
Dance like wild crabs,
There’s xp up for grabbing!
Our fate must be chosen, Yelps has free spins,
Let the sizzling summer begin!
When the blow out is over, the time spent with my friends,
Will leave me great memories lasting beyond summer’s end.

Last summer was my very first summer living near a beach. Im very fond of water so of course I tried to go every chance I could. One day I decided to go with my significant other. Come to find out, she was going with her family, so I ended up tagging along. We ate her mom's famous chicken salad sandwiches right on the shore of the beach, and I couldnt get enough of the savory goodness. I loved it more than life itself. I ate three of them when finally the "man I ate alot" feeling kicked in and I was getting sleepy, so I decided to lay back and close my eyes for a few seconds. A few seconds pass and I wake up with a slight prickly feeling from the knee down. I took a look at the clock and I had fallen asleep for about 45 minutes baking my flesh in the sun. My girlfriend had an umbrella covering the top half of my body to prevent the sun from burning me, and my swimming trunks covered the rest, with the exception of my shins and feet... I had a solid line of red from the sun, and I freaked out and ran into the water... The saltwater in the ocean would have been relieving I believ, had it not been splashing waves violently against me... I screamed in pain and waddled my way to the car to go home, and I ended up healing after about a week. Pretty embarassing but I thought I would share it
:)

In 2009 whilst working in italy i feel asleep on a sun lounger during siesta. Not only was i bright red on my front and pure white on my back but 1 of the other reps put a wine bottle in a brown paper bag and tucked it under my arm for all to see. He also took the opportunity to draw something on my chest in sun tan lotion that i think you can guess. 2 days later having forgotten his artistic prank i went swimming was kicked out of the pool by the life guard :(

This summer I went to Wisconsin Dells, and the water parks their (Noah's Ark, and Mt.Olympus) with family members who I haven't seen since moving to the U.S. from Ukraine over 6 years ago. It was an amazing vacation/family ruinen with amazing baroque. One of my favorite being steak rolled in bacon. It was the time of my life that I will never forget and an event il always want to happen again.

Yesterday, me and all my friends went to this huge hill near my house. and we decided to make a game what you had to do was roll a yellow ball down a hill and beat it to the bottom. we placed obstacles and logs and mini hills everywhere. but i had a evil plan when no one was looking i made so no one can get passed 48 feet down the hill by placing clear wire there so everyone would trip over it. it was a genius yet cruel plan.

~edit: i hope i dont get in trouble for this :s lol by the way i do love the events great agility xp. :D
