So, there I was. Standing at the edge of the wonderful-looking place that they call Six Flags: St. Louis. I had waited for weeks, months even, to come to this park.
Wait, let me start at the beginning of that day.
My family and I packed up everything we wanted to take with us to our first vacation. We were all excited, obviously, and couldn't wait to get onto the road. When we got everything, we all climbed into the car and we were off. It was a very uneventful trip, other than just sight-seeing. And then we saw it.
The Gateway Arch. The main symbol of saying, "Hey, you're near St. Louis!". We all pointed it out at almost the same exact time. We were happy to see that after five hours of a car ride.
We toured around for a while, seeing what there was to see, exploring the city. We saw a baseball game (sadly, our team lost...), ate at a local restaurant, and headed to the hotel.
We all had trouble sleeping that night, because we knew what would come tomorrow morning. And it didn't come soon enough.
As soon as we woke up, we got ready, piled into the car, and headed to Six Flags.
And here's where I left off earlier.
So, there I was. Standing at the edge of the wonderful-looking place that they call Six Flags: St. Louis. I had waited for weeks, months even, to come to this park.
We headed into the park, making our way onto each coaster as we passed it, ending up at the ride I looked forward to the most.
Mr. Freeze. It launches out of a tunnel through several inversions, and then backwards through the same thing and into the station.
I was extremely excited. I walked into the line, to see a sign.
"Closed for maintenance. Mr. Freeze will be open tomorrow."
Needless to say, I was upset. But, that vacation was still the best memory I'd ever had of summer.
Thanks for reading this!
