Well .. what we are trying to end up with is a really nice video that showcases all the experiences which come about through such a large number of accounts being created. Ideally we'd love to see the faces behind all the characters as it just adds to the wonderful global mix that is the RuneScape community.
However, you don't actually have to film yourself in your video, feel free to be creative if you wish - but it's worth bearing in mind that the overall theme and visual impact of your video will be key in deciding the winners - so if your plan is to jump in game and use a Hypercam to film your character saying some simple text, well that won't really tick many creative boxes and the reality is it won't end up winning the awesome prize!

@Jikkir This is a visual competition, so standing in a bank while voicing over the video, might not capture everyone's interest. Therefore, you'll have to be as creative as you possibly can. :)

p.s. Mod Jane can we have a video with a music sound track of a RuneScape song?
Also can we have a reenactment of the more memorable things from RuneScape?
I.E.; If we fought Elvarg for the first time can we have someone dress up as a dragon and someone fight it in an acting scene? (thats just ane xample though :P )

There are so many posts which I agree with, and I have only read but a few of the huge number of posts in this thread. To be honest, a video-making competition is not the best way to get people involved, but Jagex seem to be obsessed with them of late. Many people don't want to take videos of themselves which other people will see, and if they win, everyone on the web will be able to see - and those are the ones who possess the equipment to make videos as such. Many players don't.
It would be good to introduce a good-old writing competition into this, but i'm not sure if it will ever happen. I also agree with the point that, to be quite frank, many of the accounts are un-played or are bots, although i do not wish to dwell on this matter.
