Could the newsletters be 3-mailed to your player inbox?
Like, the first newsletter is 3-mailed to every active player... They view it, and they are given two options... 1) Allow weekly/ monthly newsletters to be resent automaticaly... or 2) Never send me a newsletter again.
I reckon a team of trustworthy players should be given the opportunity to develop the newsletter and publish it. Of course they would be given an option if they don't want to do it, but this would be a great way to involve people in the Runescape Community, if not the Runescape Newsletter. These positions would rotate to other players, for other newsletters.
I suggest that there should be a newsletter title competition, where the best titles go into the polls to be voted on.
On the point of the player made newsletter... The insipiration for that was, the fact that many people have many different ideas of their own, so giving people the opportunity to develop/ publish the newsletters gives them the opportunity to spread their opinion with everyone in Runescape!
That's all I can think of at the moment.
