Perhaps it would be a good idea to use locations that don't end up describing 2 different spots. First it was that Falador castle roof (before getting fixed to say lumbridge castle), and then Falador crossroads with a statue, which describes locations inside and outside the city.

Well, I don't understand how they can say he's done it when he wasn't there. The Falador crossroads by the musician is where I waited along with a bunch of other people. I don't know what other place it could've been.
I'm off to do something that won't waste my time.

Is France really in such a different timezone than the rest of Europe?

You could've noticed the 5 previous hours were in U.S.A. and Canada, and could've guessed the France they were referring to is west of America and is a colony of France.
The mainland of France is in the same timezone as most of Europe.
