I just wanted to state how insanely expensive Runefest is.
The weekend ticket alone is listed at £148.00 That is almost $300. That is enough to put a down payment on a CAR.
Then we have the issue of actually GETTING to the UK. For a cheap flight from the US to the UK is about $856 according to the various travel websites.
Oh. You want somewhere to stay while you are thousands of miles from home? $150-$250 a night depending on how fancy you want to get.
What?! You want to EAT?! Guess you better Add another $10-$50 per meal depending on where you want to eat. The lower end being McDonalds.
You say you dont want to walk all over England? You want a taxi or a bus? Well, damn. $10-$15 a MILE depending on the company you use.
So, lets add this all up. The total cost for someone from outside the UK to go to Runefest is approximately... $2326
Holy crap. I knew it would be high, but not that high. That even surprised me.
So, to be clear $2326 would take the average person in the US 2-4 months of saving EVERY PENNY and NEVER spending a dime to save enough for ONE WEEKEND at Runefest.
Just thought I'd sh- Oh wait. That's only for one person?! I dont want to go to the UK alone! I dont know anyone there!
That's $4600 for 2 people.

Yeah, it's expensive. ~150 isn't relatively close to 300 though. Jagex can't really do anything about bus prices, hotel costs, food places...
