I agree, these forum update polls are pure fail. # of users online? Get real, that is the only feature we do have.
For years people have been asking for the option to view Jmod posts easier. You know why? Because Jagex still insists on making it a game to gather information.
We are obviously not allowed to ask game related questions, that is laughable to think we would get an answer.
So on the few occasions that CM manages to dig up some info for us it should be shared with EVERYONE. Not just hidden in some random thread that just happened to be interesting to that particular mod.
As for the polls themselves, why even bother? Have any of the updates been made yet? You need a list? Try this: scrap the whole thing and get a beginner's forum that will have 100 times more features built in.
What is so special about this forum anyways? By all accounts, even from JAgex themselves it is pure crap.
I assure you the previous 4 posters are names one commonly runs across when using the forums. And I'm in general agreement with all of them.
What made me come here was the reason they've cited as well. The leading choice in the poll might as well read "I either never use the forums or have no idea of their purpose and potential." As a recently more frequent forum user, (thanks W/FT for making the forums more attractive than the game itself) I could not care less how many people are currently reading the forums or a particular thread.
I (no doubt among others) suggested a forum ignore list, so I voted for that option, though someone gave a pretty good argument against the idea when I suggested it, so I may not choose to use it if implemented, depending on how it worked.
I don't feel as though I should even bother voting in this new poll regarding the forums.
Even asking this is completely useless and a waste of time.
What exactly stops you at jagex, you people that are PAID TO WRITE CODE, from adding all of them?
Honestly, you're writing code for a website. For forums, not the game. It's not that complicated. I bet it would take ONE person to add ALL of those options into the forums IN ONE DAY. Assuming they were to actually sit down and work the entire day.
Is there any one good reason we can't simply just can't add all of these options?
Hmm, the latest poll on clans/citadels, doesn't have an option for my situation, which is:
'Yes, I am in a clan, but cannot visit my clan's or another clan's citadel.' (F2P)
I guess I won't be voting then lol.
Grinch and iR Caru,
This is now rather 'off-topic' since there's a new poll up, but you may be interested to know what Mod Stevew posted a couple of days ago:
"I've had some really encouraging meetings this week regarding the future of the forums, can't say too much right now but I'm totally happy with our current position in terms of progression and planning for a future forum environment.
A lot of the background work is complete to migrate the forums into a more usable system, unfortunately this time consuming part of the project is not something which will have any visible difference - but importantly once the new foundations are in place we can get new functionality and interfaces implemented pretty quickly."

Also, it's not exactly a 'poll', but Mod Stevew has also asked for our views regarding the following points, I quote:
"Would be interested to get your views guys:
Posting links - OK if you get a warning box before leaving the forums?
Lite forum version for use on tablets - good idea or not?
Profiles - if you opt to not make yours public, you also can't see anyone else's - fair?"
(QFC: 278-279-16-62888815, page 102)
Might as well take the opportunity to have your say on those points at least, if you'd like to.

Please also remove the filter from our siggies Jagex!
