Maybe the English community doesnt understand it but for finnish people this is like shutting down whole forums for you. Think how you'd feel if Runescape forums would be shutten down

Also our forums run well without a jagex mod due our awesome fmods like Mage Rughar, Mattan100 and Okkultisti. Haven't ever seen a problem there.

We have currently over 130 supporters against this update and the number is raising. Mod Stevew I really suggest you checking it out. Many of players in Finnish, Swedish and Spanish communities are very sad and angry. Please let us at least keep one forum. Or at least a forum where we could chat at english but with our own people. I dont want to lose all my friends. I have 1,7k forum posts. Over 1,5k in finnish forums. Come on mods we have lovely community and even some forum moderators with 10k posts told they quit using forums. This is outrageous. Please don't do this.

Finnish community: 136k total posts
Dutch community: 451k total posts
So yeah Finnish community is 3,31 times smaller. But were still a big community.

I strongly disagree with this project. As Banim said "Sorry, but a lot of those who had their home, their friends and community there will not integrate in the English forums. Mainly because a considerable amount of them don't speak or understand English well. Integration isn't the word I'd use here."

And Jagex stop using so formal and euphemistic language. It sickens me:

We are currently low of money so we can't hire any new jmods. Also we think your little communities aren't worth it and want to swipe them out. In english forums it won't be very different though.
Taking attention from diversity of community****-team is constantly trying to find best ways to integrate every one of us players to be part of one worldwide community so that everyone can enjoy so huge community membership given advantages. To make this possible we shall prodecure some very important changes, larger than anything before to assure that we support community best possible way.

We have decided this so you could be part of larger community and shall receive all those principles what you get playing with those million peoples and you could enjoy best runescape gaming experience.

Now you can be part of larger community which you never wanted to. You also get priviliges like: Noone answering or reading your thread, Losing all your friends, Needing to post in foreign language you don't understand and noone is one of the other users of the forums you know! You can now cry and go to english forums. Now you probably have a cool gaming experience when we destroy big part of it!!

@@@You could even tell your sorry instead of telling us this is for our best. In Finland we tell everything straight to face. Stop hiding your face and admit that you are low in cash and are sorry that you can't afford keeping our forum any longer. Just apologise instead of this manipulation. how is it our privilege that you destroy our forums? Its like saying that you are priviledged to be executioned. Check meaning of priviledge in dictionary Jagex.@@@

Just wanted to say that I have removed a few posts that were discussing employment details about specific individuals. As Mod Stevew explained earlier in the thread, any matters regarding employment are a personal and confidential matter between Jagex and our staff.
We are more than happy to discuss the community changes with you, but we do believe that our employees have a right to privacy and so, for this reason, we will continue to have to remove posts that concern specific individual people.
I also want to thank you all for your feedback - please do keep it coming (although obviously we would prefer it if you are reasonably civil and we may remove anything that is particularly unpleasant). We genuinely do want to create the best possible Community Management team for the best possible community - please keep that in mind.

Mod Jon A. I have an idea.
What about making a finnish, spanish, polish and scandinavian community forums in english forums. There you could chat only in english or possibly if you can't speak english quickly ask some questions in own language? At least we would hold our own fantastic finnish community even we would be forced talking english. But as I already stated our Fmods are doing wonderful work. I haven't seen any problem even after Jouni left Jagex. Really saw no changes in control.

Also heres idea by forum moderator "Louiellen" from my thread:
What I do support is, add adverts to the Runescape forum pages. This will generate income I think enough to cover the cost of maintaining multiple language forums - and hire staff enough to manage them.
There is nothing wrong with adding adverts for the forum, it's a win-win solution for everyone: Jagex meets the cost of running this forum without pulling cash flows from their game itself. While players can still enjoy the localised forum they have.

I think that's a bad idea for the simple fact that as you know that all these communities know very well English or can't communicate with you in English (if for some reason if they occupied came to the forums help in their original language)
I would say if you put a thread in each community where they could get help in your language would help at least (in english forums). by the fact that they would not help put in those languages....
and I guess Jagex mod we had in our language, not to talk more language
