Stories really materialize when the Concept Design Team (hope got that right) begin drawing and painting the surroundings and NPCs involved.
How can they really get whats on the writer's brains?
Hey!
1) Can we expect more expansion on the character of the hobgoblin slave in the sequel to this? I'm sure there's more to him than meets the eye.
2) Were you as excited writing this as I was reading this? I'm a massive fan of stories and lores, but this one especially kept me captivated.
Thanks!

Hobgoblins normally live on the surface. They can survive the harsh weather of the Wilderness plain. They look very primitive like in the way of boars and Neanderthal people. Are hobgoblins the oldest type of the goblin gene?
We are used to get notes and journals from bossmonsters and sometimes from non-bossmonsters. But wouldn't it also be fun to get extra notes from a new Dungeoneering Tasks System? For example environment notes about how comes that certain before unknown trees grow down below, also metals and fabric weeds. Are those brought by the Dragonkin (they build the castle on top), brought by slaves or created by Bilrach?
My favourite dungeoneer monster is the cuddly thrower troll. I have a feeling they all have a sense of humor (trololol).
What is your favourite monster?

@Ice Reaper: "1)I thought Yk'Lagor had betrayed the other demons (or something...) Did he betray the Kal'Gerions by continuing to fight against Bilrach or did he do something else?"
--
Yk'Lagor was branded a traitor for making his demon underlings fight for ranks
@Robo: I actually just realized this... The Occult floors likely wouldn't be so Occulty if Bilrach hadn't used his portal magic yet
So they could be on the Occult floors, but they're just not so messed up.
@Scorp:
Alrighty, my questions...
1) Is this going to be a multi-part story?
2) Why can the Hobgoblin hear the voice too? Does this mean the voice is connected to Kal'Ger's realm, which is in turn part of the Infernal Realms, which is nicknamed 'Zamorak's Realm', (even if Zamorak may not be there) thus opening the possibility that the voice is just a powerful Demon Lord? (I doubt I'll get the second half answered, but hey, gotta try)
3) Not a question - but nice work
4) Any chance we could see some sort of official Writing comp again sometime soon?
5) I don't know if you have any say in this, but I've been trying to see if anyone could perhaps talk the higher-ups into allowing a Quest-Writing competition, with the reward being your quest adapted into the game... Even without that final reward, seeing some sort of Quest-writing comp would be really lovely too. Quest-Writers seem to be an ignored part of the writing crowd.

Ah, but with the references of the Stalkers and Behemoths, that would heavily imply he's already used the portals a bit, seeing as the Stalkers/Behemoths aren't from this plane.
Though you have a point, perhaps it wasn't far enough along yet
You can only fully appreciate a story when you experience it through the eyes of one of its characters.

Really enjoyable read, thanks Mod Scorpion.
I'm a massive fan of lores and fan fiction.
I'd really appreciate it if you would take the time to answer a few of my questions.
• How would you describe your writing methods? Did you start out with a single idea and then build around it, or did you have the entire story planned out in your head before you started writing? Do you prefer to plan things out, or just dive straight in? :p
• Did you find writing an official lore restricting at all? Was there anything you would have liked to have added in, but couldn't, in order to keep it canon?
• Do you ever check out the 'stories' section of the forums?
• How did you get the inspiration for this piece?
• With Dungeoneering, is there a 'master plan' with regards to the lores, histories, quests etc that are based around it? Or is the development of it's mythology more organic, with bits being thought up and added in over time?
• How long did this piece take to write?
• Is there any advice you could give to the budding authors on the forums?
• If you could go back in time to just before you started this work, is there any advice you would give to *yourself*? Anything you would have done differently?
Thanks!

1) Will we see any ingame content about the goblin, and if so (which I believe is very likely) can you say anything about when?
2) What made you come up with the idea for Daemonheim Asunder?
3) Can you give any iformation of what the next chapter(s) will contain?
