I think the hobgoblin should have a non-name as it were, because being a slave I think it fitting they should have a name given to them that has stuck rather than their 'original' name. Just a suggestion... So I would go along the theme of things like;
Cuts-rock-fast
Shapes-with-thought
Molds-like-potter (!)
Goblin Shapes-rock
Mind-of-earth
Thinks-like-lightning (based on quick reactions to demons methinks! My favourite :) )
Godbydesign (wish I could come up with a better name for myself :P )
