My suggestion would be a screenshot program, not sure of any decent ones. If you got Sony Vegas then this will make it ALOT easier.
Steps WITHOUT a screenshot program but with Vegas:
=GATHERING FRAMES=
Open RS
Take a screenshot
Open Paint
Paste your screenshot
Save image
Hit CTRL+N (New)
Repeat until you're done.
=EDITING=
Then with Vegas, there is an option in the preferences (I think it's there) that asks you how long you want an image appear in the timeline, select 0.05 (20 frames a second that way, you can change it to whatever you feel is best)
Put ALL the images into the timeline
Render
Open a new project.
Get your recently rendered video into the timeline
Use the crop/pan tool and crop the video to how you want.
Stopmotion done. All you need to do now is add sounds n such.

It's best to wait for the Orb of Ouculus (coming next week!) and then make your videos! Make your plan for your video now, wait for the Orb and go! :D
Btw, everyone good luck with winning this competition! ;) Make it the best video you can! (Just try to make it worse than mine. :P :P)

Vegas tip: Filling your work area
This is for every clip you use.
Open the pan/crop window
Right click the F Box
Select "Match Output Aspect"
This will make the clip cover the whole video space that you have (No more black borders!)
