I am not sure about that.I hooked the little black thingy up and it said the mic was working properly now.But then my mom mentioned that it might be built into the computer so I tried talking into the computer screen and nothing happend. My dad is going to help me fix it later. One more question where can I get like runescape music from the game I can add to my video?I am going to add music if I cant ad my voice. And also when I try downloading sounds onto my computer i can't find them after they have been downloaded.Do you know why that is?

I can record on my ipod yes but I don't have vegas.I was using movie maker but it wont play any recording or music that I download to play in my video. Is ther any other program that I can use that I don't have to buy and that I can edit my movie with?I would use vegas but you have to buy it don't you?

okay I found the problem with movie maker. The volume control set it to mute and is keeping it on mute.Every tiem I un mute it and exit off of sound control it puts it right back on mute and I can't fix it.

Hi again Josh, could I interest you in using the product trials that they offer on most proograms. Sony Vegas does so, it gives the full program for a certain time period. I believe 30 days is given.
Fraps 2.0 is a nice screen recorder fullscreen and smaller.
Else Hypercam or Camtasia, and they do not work on fullscreen.
Song Vegas also supports voice recording. But Adobe Audition and Audacity are better.

Tips from Chiszle #1
- When recording sound and voice with a microphone: You can avoid background noise by being as far away from sound sources as possible. Also making sure that the mic is not being touched by anything. You can reduce wind and breath interference by putting a sock over the recording element.
- Try to voice record before you record ingame.
- The best idea's come to you at times when you are unable to use them.
- Try to work with friends this makes the experience memorable.
- Do not use Chipmunk voice changers.
- Be original, work with an idea that you feel comfortable with sharing with a hundred people.
- If you are going to make more videos in the future, get used to not using intellectual property. That means trying not to use copyrighted songs. You can buy a license by consulting the legal management of a music label or artist. There is no law protecting the use of copyrighted material without consent. They can sue you for infringement if they want to.
But most often they will just mute your audio, or block the video in certain countries.
- Try to make your video not depend on editing. Editing should be as unnoticeable as possible.
- Wearing high-level gear in your video might influence the entertainment value.
- Try to make your onscreen text readable.
- When you voice, YOU WILL HATE HOW YOU SOUND. Pure psychological effect. the bones around your vocal cords, throat, and mouth echo the sound into your eardrums. This sound is different as to what other people hear. You will feel intimidated to not use this in your video. But people are not aware of the difference.

Tips from Chiszle #2

- After uploading to YouTube, the audio sometimes can be out of sync. This in some rare occasions gets fixed. But if not, you will have to determine as of which moment in time the error happens. And see if it is either one of the following:
R(eason): YouTube error
A: Upload again. And try to have a steady internet connection.
R: Sudden audio gap, or sudden visual distortion (Flashes or other sudden heavy editing)
A: Abrupt changes in the sound or visual can glitch the upload result. Try using fades and normalized sound tracks. And make sure that the video does not have to many hard cuts and effects.
R: The video was glitched during editing or rendering, and the upload was good. You just did not notice before uploading.
A: Always watch the rendering result. You might have received a few frames of static.
To avoid this, go back to editing, and move the clips to different or new video layers.
- Working with groups of people can be difficult. Try making sure everyone can reach the recording location. And that people get clear directions. If people talk to much, put public chat to friends or off. And have the other person removed from your friendslist temporarily if needed.
- You can hide the chatbox by clicking the arrowhead on the top-centre. This does not work for the fixed game interface.
- When recording, have the least amount of programs running on the background. Also using a world with less ping, that is close to your location, works great.
- Keep all the voice recordings you make. I always end up combining them for the better.
- Do not expect people to want to help you in videos. People may have bad experiences with this kind of stuff, or it simply just does not interest them. You should be happy with whoever does.
- You do not need a title before you can start production. The title of the video is something you can always pick. The eventual upload to YouTube will carry the title that is most important. Leave it till then.
