Tips from Chiszle #2
- After uploading to YouTube, the audio sometimes can be out of sync. This in some rare occasions gets fixed. But if not, you will have to determine as of which moment in time the error happens. And see if it is either one of the following:
R(eason): YouTube error
A: Upload again. And try to have a steady internet connection.
R: Sudden audio gap, or sudden visual distortion (Flashes or other sudden heavy editing)
A: Abrupt changes in the sound or visual can glitch the upload result. Try using fades and normalized sound tracks. And make sure that the video does not have to many hard cuts and effects.
R: The video was glitched during editing or rendering, and the upload was good. You just did not notice before uploading.
A: Always watch the rendering result. You might have received a few frames of static.
To avoid this, go back to editing, and move the clips to different or new video layers.
- Working with groups of people can be difficult. Try making sure everyone can reach the recording location. And that people get clear directions. If people talk to much, put public chat to friends or off. And have the other person removed from your friendslist temporarily if needed.
- You can hide the chatbox by clicking the arrowhead on the top-centre. This does not work for the fixed game interface.
- When recording, have the least amount of programs running on the background. Also using a world with less ping, that is close to your location, works great.
- Keep all the voice recordings you make. I always end up combining them for the better.
- Do not expect people to want to help you in videos. People may have bad experiences with this kind of stuff, or it simply just does not interest them. You should be happy with whoever does.
- You do not need a title before you can start production. The title of the video is something you can always pick. The eventual upload to YouTube will carry the title that is most important. Leave it till then.
