New question: I noticed the rules don't talk about recording inside RuneScape only... Does it still apply? I'd prefer to record myself to do the promotion than to record an emotionless characther...
If you wanted to add more emotion to your character you could try many things to do so! Maybe add some voice acting to your characters to give them a better scene of ''life'' or better yet, use emote and movement in your video! These things can always make your video a lot more realistic and fun to watch, getting the viewer much more interested.
Of course, these are some small points that you could do, but there are many other things you could do to make your camera look and feel more realistic on video and in-game! After all, Machinima videos have to be entertaining!
You cannot record real life for this, as you need to record something in Runescape, not doing so, and entering would be a bad idea and your entry wouldn't be allowed. Good luck, and remember if it's 31 seconds or over, you'll not be allowed in!

Ok, I've finished my video (first draft, at least) but I've got a new problem. I'm sending it to a few friends over skype so that they can find any faults or bits I should pay more attention to. However, it's 500mb in size and it's estimated to take 6 hours! Is there any way I can speed it up?
What file did you render is it as?... The standard rendering video format is WMV, you can render using this, although if you render your videos in MP4 Format, the rendering time will be additionally faster, and the quality will be a little bit better too! I hope that this tip helped you as well as my others, Good luck with your Machinimas, I'll be checking them all out soon!
Make sure it fits ALL the rules before you upload it! After you are sure, send it to Jagex with a mail with your user name and ''Runescape Ad Competition'' In the mail and in the mail title, DO NOT ADD ANY ATTACHMENT FILES or your video will not count! If anyone is not sure about the rules, please visit the Official Runescape Machinima Contest sticky/video to re-view the rules!

A quick question,
I plan to act and help in the video making process with the creative gameplay video making project, yet I want to make my own video too? Does anyone know if this is alright?

Yes, Well - If you mean to be acting in others videos and to be working on your own? I'm sure this is fine! I don't think Jagex would not allow you to help others and enable you to make your own video, but I really don't know if this will be considered in entering two entrys, but it very well could be.

Bl00od, Yes, you are able to do this, But please remember it has to BE recorded in runescape and must be something IN runescape, so if you wanted to base your advert on something like ''An abbyssal whip'' I doubt it'd be selling Nintendo Wii's now, would it?
