Introduction

The Year is 169 of the Fifth Age.

The Kingdoms of Misthalin and Asgarnia have been decimated by nearly a decade of conflict which has left no clear victor. In the east the Sultanate of Al Kharid, which remained neutral during the bloody conflict, bides its time… Waiting for an opportunity to assert itself.

Representatives of the twin realms of Misthalin and Asgarnia met to sign a truce addressing the grievances of both parties and subsequently agreed upon the Citharede Concordat in neutral Kharid. Animosity between the two Kingdoms remains high however, and Asgarnians and Misthalians regularly clash with eachother – especially along the border, where officials do nothing to protect their former enemies.

Amid this calamity, severe manpower shortages across the land has provided countless lucrative opportunities for wandering adventurers and skilled individuals craving coin and recognition. With the local economy in ruins, many of those who survived the conflict have embraced this obvious opportunity to survive, or even thrive, in a world reeling from war.

More and more men and women venture from their homes and take to the roads, whilst the Port of Sarim sees foreigners from far off lands weigh anchor to capitalize on the desperation in Misthalin and Asgarnia – for better or worse.

As an age of war comes to an end, another age beckons – an age of adventure.

Information to Prospective Roleplayers

Just a small friendly OOC introduction,

This roleplay will for the most part discounts any political elements, that is to say, no characters which are dukes, kings or rulers. It has had a tendancy to cause unnecessary drama in W41's past.

This RP is designed to provide a down to earth experience focused upon our characters and their own experiences and adventures.

So.. If a refuge from bickering about politics, or just a more character and event focused experience is what interests you, feel free to make your interest known and consider participation! We'd be happy to have you! If not, I understand and there is plenty of that out there.

Furthermore, we will endeavour to be as flexible and laid back as possible, so everyone can find enjoyment here but expect fairness to be considered at all times.

General Rules (You've probably seen them before)

- All standard RP rules apply such as: No meta-gaming, power gaming, god modding, etc apply.

- Please abide by Jagex's rules

- Your OOC behaviour matters to us, we feel a Roleplay is only as good as its members. Therefore we do not tolerate members who insult others, belittle others or act in a generally unpleasant way.

- Be prepared to justify your IC actions if necessary (for the sake of transparency).

- Use Common sense

- Freelancing is fully allowed so feel free to bring friends, however if freelancing gets too out of hand then we reserve the right to void actions that would be unrealistic or simply absurd.

- No one is above the rules whether they are new-comers, or myself we must all abide by the rules and own up to our mistakes.

- No trolling (this includes other peoples RP's)

- Please keep the thread free of flaming and spamming, if you make posts that can be deemed as flame bait then we will ask you not to post here again.

- We encourage all roleplayers to behave politely to one-another, W41 has always been an open and welcoming community.

- Please separate your OOC feelings about people, you don't have to RP with people you don't like but if you do, don't let that influence your character in any way.
