I recently saw an entire army switch characters and sides in the middle of a battle.

I can't believe that I'm about to say this, but I will defend the Sicarius on this. They got kicked out of the fight icly, so their characters left, but they wanted to continue to participate, so they joined the other side as soldiers.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I see nothing wrong with this.

EDIT: Someone corrected me because I was wrong.

I watched the battle OoC, and I was not aligned with Asgarnia or the Sicarius. I have friends in both so I'd consider myself neutral in that.

But I don't think I'd defend them; the Asgarnian forces had kept the gatehouse closed and impenetrable, and the Sicarius were on the other side (come to think of it, I thought the positioning was really weird - they were originally with Burthorpe, but were on the Asgarnia side of the wall?). They were unable to get through it... Went OoC, went IC inside Burthorpe as Burthorpian soldiers.

It was a bit iffy.

EDIT: As Kermit would say, "but that's none of my business."

Here's one, not rp but more of an argument situation

After a rp within my clan, one member got a iffy fit because a member "encouraged" rp rule break. IT was all a misunderstanding and both side overreacted. the ex member decided to leave because the "clan" was not legit and didn't have legit "people in it." Over all, the person over reacted and left over something that was resolved and could have been resolved with our argument.

An oldie but a goldie.

While fighting in the Canifis pub a year and a half ago, a ranger got a bit too close to my slayer and got his right arm grappled. His solution to the problem was to try jumping over me, whereupon I told him that he'd just get pulled down on top of my sword. So he changed his action, correcting it to a backflip that he argued he couldn't be pulled down from. I then asked him how he'd start flipping around without destroying his right arm in the process, to which he responded by voiding himself from getting close, and resuming trying to pepper me with arrows.

It was made better because he was wearing full Pernix and using a Zaryte bow, clearly trying to emulate the actual Pernix.

See what actually happened, which everyone forgets, is the Sicarius were on Asgarnia's side. The faction under Pyro locked us out of helping Asgarnia, as we were there to do, so after attending a battle and sitting for over an hour not allowed in to help the people we came to help, when we eventually left, a number of players switched.

Many roleplayers in the Sicarius also had characters in Burthorpe, and chose not to play them and favour their Sicarius and go help Asgarnia. Most of them just wanted to join the battle, so a group of them swapped to their other characters to go join in after the fact.

It's not like we did it to jump the wall. The only reason we were outside of it in the first place, as you questioned, is cause we were there to help them.
We come here with no peaceful intent, but ready for battle, determined to avenge our wrongs and set our country free.

I would have reacted the same if I was being trolled by an obnoxious man-girl with two six-foot long tails

The the problem, it wasn't a troll or anything, the argument was because there was a power play or auto within a rp. the ex member was mad at the one that auto and the other person for "encouraging" it. When the other member had no clue about the autoing because he wasn't paying attention at the two's post, because he had went ooc (mind you it was 3 am for the two blamed members.) The one auto wanted to end the rp quickly. Because it was 3 am in the morning and wanted to sleep. Even after explaining their mistake and the misunderstanding, the ex member still decided to leave because despite the "encouraging member," not knowing if she did auto or not because of the time it was, and him being semi-afk, wasn't punished for "encouraging" When all he said was. "She did nothing wrong." and tried to talk it out. Instead of talking it out with them, she insulted them and left without stating what they did wrong, coming to me wanting me to do something about it, which I did. Overall it was an overreacting on both side, with the ex-member reacting more to it. She didn't want to peacefully understand that it was a misunderstanding, and she had faults as well. So I just let her leave.
