A simple letter arrived at Camelot, adressed to Lysanna Calderon with the word "urgent" hastily scrawled across the front.
Though not fully rested, I believe this issue will be resolved much more efficiently the quicker it is acted upon. First and foremost; those behind what occured yesterday. A goblin that was questioned mentioned the 'skull faced masters' forcing them to butcher the civillians living in the village. This, along with overwhelming evidence of elven involvement would make one think that the Iorwerth clan had some sort of hand in this. While combating the creatures, I was able to very briefly form a connection with them, and through it, I felt their great hunger for anima. The plants seek to consume anything living and drain it entirely. With that in mind, I'd advise that all your men begin carrying something they can easily start a fire with, should the need arise.
While the connection held, I was also able to glimpse a scant few memories, extremely old ones at that. Within, there was some sort of fallen kingdom, a great many elves, both dead and dying. This was their final act of 'survival', if one could even call it that, though it soon became twisted into little more than revenge. Given the ores we made note of, perhaps your elven allies dug up something that should've remained lost?
While the suggestion of your knight; that the slaughter was an attempt at growing a bloodwood tree, first seemed plausible, I now firmly believe this is not the case. While it's true they only grow in places that have been home to great bloodshed, these saplings were being grown directly inside the bodies found within the town hall, both elven and human.
