TREMORS
John E. Walker
The Broodoo Undead have returned, this time attacking the Irondrake Dwarves of Ice Mountain. 13 dead and 20 injured with Lord Gotrek Irondrake among the deceased. Occurring the early hours of the morning a small group of Broodoo Undead invaded the Dwarven Mines. Eye witnesses report another Joger Shaman and the missing Giant Mole also bring present at the battle.
Damage to the mines was minimal with only minimal damage done to the cave walls and ceilings. An ice enchant was responsible for claiming the lives of several dwarves after Lord Irondrake was slain by the Jogre. One miner reported the Dwarven lord defeating the Giant Mole and Shaman on his own but was unlucky to survive the Jogre’s final blow.
It’s unknown if the undead are targeting members of the Regency Council or if these nobles were in the wrong place at the wrong time. We at the Gazette have reached out to the Crown for a response but so far have not received any response.
Members of the Sorcerers Society have confirmed that one of the captured Druids was indeed murdered by the Broodoo with their head being discovered on the Shaman’s person. One sorcerer stated that “her head was shrivelled to the size of a fist and must have been used to store more magical power”. The dwarves have also confirmed that the undead still fought after the Shaman was defeated, suggesting that another party is controlling them.
This attack only comes in weeks after a surprise assault on Taverley where three druids and Archwizard Cynthia Australis also being captured. With this attack, it leaves the Regency Council two people down with the Archwizard and Dwarven Representative positions being vacant.
