To His Highness, the Lord Protector of Misthalin,

Warmest greetings to you and your nation. Long had the friendship between Misthalin and Asgarnia been fruitful, a brotherhood that grows in strength each day, much like the currents of the mighty River Lum, which both our peoples revere.

With your ascension, I believe it is most appropriate to end this brief estrangement which has existed between our two countries, thus His Majesty invites you to Burthorpe to renew old relationships, and establish new agreements between Misthalin and Burthorpe. We eagerly wait for your reply and hope you are as interested in we are in renewing the bond between our two nations.

"The King is gone..." , a sentence that was muttered by noble and smallfolk alike. King Evander had abdicated his throne, leaving it open to intervention by the powers of Misthalin. News was slow to spread across Misthalin - and by the time the rulers and monarchs of the world had heard - crowds had started to form in the capital, demanding answers.

"Who will lead us?" The people demanded answers. There was no one to give them. From the crowd, a hooded figure came to the front.

"There is no heir," he claimed. "None who can rightfully lead." His eyes swept across the crowd, before he removed the hood. "Someone must preserve the throne until a ruler is found."
Many in the crowd recognised Robyn Lysiar as a kind stranger who had offered help in hours of need. Others knew him as a stern voice when it was needed.

A single voice called out from the crowd. "How about you, Robyn?"

The Great Council

Where: Varrock palace

Details: The Lord Protector has called a council of all of the Misthalite lords, ladies, and noble families. To discuss the succession, and the forming of a council to rule in the stead of a king.

When: Sunday 20/08, 11PM BST

All nobles of Misthalin, present and past are invited to this event. Foreign dignitaries who try to attend will be expelled from the city. If you don't have a character suitable and want to attend, you simply have to make one!

Details: Seeing an opportunity, certain undesirables have started to spread rumours and slander about the ruling classes, and many are beginning to lose faith. A crowd forms in Varrock square, demanding answers...
