Hear ye! Murder in Old Leptoc!


On the night of the twenty-second of Pentember, the noble family of Delmoran were slain in their home whilst preparing for evening's rest.

The Delmoran's have been a shadow of the city's most prominent families for decades, having served previous monarch's of ill repute. Their dwindling family ventures having failed some years ago left them in a grave state, coupled with the befallen illnesses of Lord Roddick Delmoran. His daughter, Serana, became the family head in his stead after the banishment of Roddick's son Janus from their household.

Last night, the Delmoran household quietly extinguished most of their lamps in the West Varrock neighborhood of Old Leptoc. Shortly after the guardsmen patrol nearby performed a shift change, the home was evidently invaded from an side-door on the north side of the home. Once inside, the perpetrator murdered two of the servants in the house. Evidence suggests fire magick had been used given the scorched marks on the victim's chests.

In the doorway leading from the dining room to the master bedroom, Serana Delmoran was found slumped against the door frame with stab wounds along her chest. Finally, the Lord Roddick, who had been ill and resting, lay in his own bed within the room with a pillow softly placed over his face.

Reports handed to the Varrock Herald by an anonymous tip suggest the perpetrator or perpetrators exacted vengeance on the Delmoran's from an old blood feud. Other details mention the group of dark magi that have attacked Draynor in the south.

Lord Roddick's estranged son, Janus, is reportedly being informed of the murders and should be returning home to lay his family to rest as well as take his place as the family head. .„¸¸,.·` |

As promised, carpenters and stonemasons have arrived in south-eastern Varrock to assist in the reconstruction of a small Saradominist church. They set to work repairing the old building and by week's end there stood a lovely refuge from the dirty streets of the Varrock ghetto. As they left, one of them, an architect, left a letter addressed to Kalas......
