As much as I respect this viewpoint, my heart is set on public RP as canon, without NPC leaders. It is that RP that has brought me the most joy over the years.
Furthermore, I just believe this would only make the second-in-commands the de-facto leaders of the RP.
It will continue to be my stance that an OOC admin team, regulating the actions of the community and IC leader is the best means for a productive, enjoyable and welcoming RP.

Well I think we all know full well
exactly
what I think of this idea.
So for as long as I am still allowed to describe my character as the Lord of Forinthry (as opposed to king) I confirm my support for this initiative.
"The greatest endeavors are achieved because of their selfless intent"
Have a more lenient stance towards the use of high fantasy elements in a public scene.
•
Create a far less competitive environment for people hosting/creating RP on a large scale.
•
Less player created bureaucracy and power levels by removing players replacing NPC leaders/faction heads.
•
Still offer people to RP influential characters in the forms of noble families and guilds.
This is how RP should be. PoKs are meant to be this way too. It's how I sought to run mine(exception of the third bullet point), and it's how the "most successful" PoKs that are often brought up in arguments have been ran. It's been my opinion that the structure, the system, has never been the important factor. But the people behind it.
The current PoK system and its leaders aren't doing enough to be effective for the community. The system is supposed to serve us, we don't serve the system. I think this is the first step in the right direction.
I'm glad to see things being put into motion. You guys have a vision and are working to achieve that. I give this my support.
Keep it up Lozz, and whoever helped 'em.
