The Most Noble Order of the Dragon

A burning sword, ripe with the viscera of another fallen foe. Armor shining red, battered and scratched from absorbing the blows of those that would threaten the knight; threaten the kingdom they are oathsworn to defend. A field swarming with soldiers of war, or a shadowed corridor teeming with remnant souls, dissonant whispers, and the familiar stench of undeath that would shake the will of average men. Yet the premise of fear and hesitation has become only a fragmented memory; the horrors of a realm beyond the safe walls of a castle and civilization has lasting effects. While known for peerless skill and undying loyalty, the true weapon of the Crimson Order is steel will and unshakable resolve.

Standing resolute, the call of their King and the call of their Kingdom are ones they are swift to answer. Will you stand among them?

Chivalry

The duties of any knight are plentiful. The duties that one of the Order of the Dragon have sworn themselves upon are even more vast; often a struggle they are happy to take upon themselves to ensure the safety of the realm and Her people.

Firstly, with a focus upon the Crown, the royal family, and the Crownland capital itself, the Dragon Knights are often tasked with the direct protection and safeguarding of the highest houses in Kandarin. Any number of the Order, for example, will stand present in court and accompany the important figureheads of the kingdom to meetings, foreign or otherwise.

Second, they are the quick-acting defence mechanism, serving swiftly where armsmen are oft not able to ensure the safety of the Crown. This includes travelling to points along the border that may be threatened by hostile forces, dispatching rogue mages and their aberrant or necromantic creations, or protecting the interests of the Crown, and acting as its representative across Gielinor.

Lastly, the Order of the Dragon is by no means like every other knighthood. They have their own agenda that, while often pertaining to the overall defense of the realm, may steer from what you would expect. They are known for their respect of lore and history, and will often take risks upon themselves to uncover any hidden knowledge, relics, and the like.

Rankings

The Order of the Dragon uses only a few rankings, which are described below in ascending order of prestige with short descriptions following each.

Page
- The lowest form of aspiring order members. Usually noble children given at young ages to learn etiquette and respect in the home of a Lord or Knight.

Squire
- At fifteen, a page may become a squire, serving directly in the aid of a Knight. While mostly a mundane job, it often offers experiences vital in knighthood, and is also when combat training starts more heavily.

Knight
- The core and backbone of the Order. Once proven worthy, usually around the age of twenty, squires undergo the knighting ceremony and swear themselves upon the oath to the crown.

Sentinel
- Prestigious, veteran knights have a chance in gaining this rank. They are the elite among the elite, skilled and noble, and exhibit unparalleled honor, bravery, and tact. Often responsible for leading parties of Knights or even armsmen into various battles.

The Sovereign
- The Lord and Commander, the highest rank reserved for one soul only. All in the Order answer to her. Oversees all operations and manages things from the Order Hall itself.

The Knights of the Round Table

Sworn to Camelot and the Grail, the Knights of the Round Table are fabled throughout the Empire and the whole of the world. Chosen and knighted for extreme acts of chivalry, the knights of Camelot have been sent on the most dangerous tasks for the Old Kings of Camelot. With white shining armor and gallant warhorses dressed in ribbons, they are the representation of chivalry.


The Knights of the Round Table serve firstly the Imperial Crown and secondly, the Duke of Camelot. Seen as a prestigious order, only the Empress or Duke of Camelot can name a person to the Round Table.

The Round Table Code of chivalry is as follows;

-To never do outrage nor murder
-Always to flee treason
-To by no means be cruel but to give mercy unto him who asks for mercy
-Grant mercy to those who ask, even in combat.
-To always do ladies, gentlewomen and widows succor
-To never force ladies, gentlewomen or widows
-Not to take up battles in wrongful quarrels for love or worldly goods
-To fear Saradomin and maintain His Church

The Imperial Inquisition

The inquisition is a Kandarin roleplay group designed to combat antagonistic races and characters. They specialize in slaying beasts of all kinds, and protecting innocents. They are a very mysterious organization, little known of them to the public. They also have no unique uniform, making them highly elusive and hard to spot in a crowd; though some dress similarly at times. Comparably, they are akin in some ways to the Temple Knights while not being a noble order.

These are the bottom rungs.

- Inquisitor Recruit: They carry equipment, do menial tasks, and are not really trusted to even be part of a team.

- Inquisitor: They are similar to the recruits, although can be trusted.

These are seasoned slayers. They take on their classification title as their rank and are trusted with higher level knowledge and missions.

- Blade: These inquisitors are gifted in conventional martial combat. From swords to axes or even bows, the Blade is a fierce companion on the battlefield.

- Magister: As inquisitor mages, these individuals are gifted in the arcane arts and use them effectively to dispatch abominations.

- Erudite: As lore masters, these scholarly inquisitors are warrior bookworms and are charged with keeping a log of everything the team does or comes into contact with.

- Caduceus: Healers, magical or otherwise.

Through Saradomin's light, the Kandar Inquisition will seek out all manner of evil, beast or otherwise within Kandar borders. All that which is inhuman and corrupt by nature will be hunted and killed, for the greater good of the Empire:

- All manner of undead; zombies, skeletons, wraiths and other vengeful spirits, liches and other products of necromancy.
- Demonic entities whether they be Chthonian, Avernic, or otherwise. Imps and fiends included.
- Werewolves, vampyres, and other evil creatures of the tarnished Hallowvale.
- Mahjarrat, their descendants and their thralls.
- All manner of beast appropriate for hunting by professional slayers.
- All things considered unholy.

To this end, Emperor Axel Vekon has reinstalled the Kandar Inquisition, which will be tasked to enforce these Edicts, and guided by Lord High Inquisitor Christopher Aren.
