Vorago
°
•(
)•
Asgarnia
•(
)•

Vorago was an ancient anima being that used to cause trouble in the past. Eventually, he was defeated by a weapon known as the maul of omens, and went into a restorative sleep. He ''destroyed'' the weapon, shattering it into fragments and embedded it in his body.

He later woke up around the beginning of the Sixth Age. While still just as powerful as he was back then, he was much friendlier. He was aware that the gods will eventually return and that he will protect Gielinor from those that would endanger it alone.

With Guthix's death and the shattering of the Edicts of Guthix, Tuska made her way to Gielinor to consume it. Vorago viewed Tuska as a threat and sent a representative. He was part of The Godless due to not being affiliated with any of the gods, although he was not actually a member of the group; he had no interest in their quest. When Tuska made her way to Gielinor, weakened by the help of many adventurers, Vorago grew in size and unleashed a powerful attack at Tuska, killing her.

Today, Vorago is treated with fear by an overwhelming majority of those who know of him. He exists as well, to stop the use of Armadyl's Divine Focus any further, viewing it as an afront to the very force of life to use its energy for the cause of death.

It is the presence of Vorago that many attribute to the current inaction of the Gods to war across Asgarnia directly once more.

The Crux Eqal
°
•(
)•
Asgarnia
•(
)•

Crux Eqal is an underground organisation of Guthixian Druids who were founded by Thaerisk Cemphier and some other druids to combat the threat of the Mahjarrat, particularly Lucien, and their affiliates. This includes groups such as the Dagon'Hai, the Kinshra Elite, and any others with significant Mahjarrat association. This puts them in direct conflict with many Zamorakians, Sliskeans, and Zarosians, acting as a secretive counter-balance to halt their advances in power.

They believe that they should be aware of what the larger world is doing and do something about it, unlike most druids, who live peaceful lives in Taverley. Crux Eqal praises secrecy above much else, refusing to tell even the Legend's Guild of their existance.

The Crux Eqal seems to be directed primarily by druids of Taverley, and Thaerisk Cemphier appears to be its leader. However, its exact leadership structure is unknown.

In Roleplay, Thaerisk Cemphier's fate is largely unknown following the events of the Assassination of Guthix, leaving him severely wounded or even deceased. In his place is a speaker, through which orders are given to other agents.

The Crux Eqal operates with a higher level of Secrecy than Temple Knights, specializing in interrogations, assassinations, and espionage as a whole.

For roleplay involving the Crux Eqal, it is best to speak to HobieWan or Lady Thalia ingame.

The Druids
°
•(
)•
Asgarnia
•(
)•

Druids are pacifist followers of Guthix. They are a peaceful, clerical organisation with a love of nature, Herblore, and potion-making and other such alchemical professions. Their beige robes show they are druids. Druids often have sickles and herb pouches hanging on their robes.

Since the assassination of Guthix, current members of the order of druids led by Kaqemeex, based in Taverley, choose to honour, but not to worship, Guthix, and to spread his word and teaching of balance, harmony, and freedom from the gods in his absence. Although they are aware of Sliske's murder of Guthix, those who remained committed to the order had taken a vow not to seek revenge for Guthix's death. Some former druids who disagreed with this principle, such as Biehn, left the druidic order, with Kaqemeex's blessing.

The druids own a stone circle for worship and rituals of Guthix in their village of Taverley.

In roleplay, the Druids of Taverley are one of many sects of Druids, each taking their own approach to Guthixianism.

For roleplay focused on Druids and Guthixian Roleplay in Asgarnia, Lady Thalia is a great person to ask ingame, alongside HobieWan.

The Dwarves
°
•(
)•
Asgarnia
•(
)•

The Dwarves are one of many races in Asgarnia. They live predominately in Falador or the Mines, but aren't an uncommon sight across Asgarnia.

In stature, Dwarves tend to be shorter than humans, usually being slightly above human-waist height. They live twice as long as humans, although they tend to be gruff and short in temper. They are particularly fond of ale and often have long beards. Dwarves are particularly well known for being excellent blacksmiths, miners, and craftsmen.

Dwarven culture consists mostly of feasting, sparring, and songs of great deeds long ago. The dwarven capital of Keldagrim is more advanced, and has many industrial works, banks and trading corporations. Dwarves love gold, and value it greatly; they are portrayed as greedy, which is not untrue- their people are ruled by merchants and bureaucrats. Nearly all activities in Dwarven territory, particularly Keldagrim, are based around the acquisition of wealth.

The dwarves are not religious, and although they are Guthixian, they never really worship Guthix in festivals or rituals. They do however, maintain spirituality. Dwarves are buried in elaborate burial armour, to smith, craft, and mine with through their afterlife.

For Dwarven-focused roleplay, good people to ask about aren't as common. Kahuna_Khaji is the best to approach.

The Godless
°
•(
)•
Asgarnia
•(
)•

The Godless is an organisation founded shortly after the end of the Fifth Age by a former druid known as Biehn. Their main philosophy is that they do not want gods on Gielinor, and state their goals as a desire to defend Gielinor from the gods while protecting the innocent. While the faction's philosophy is similar to the wishes of the god of balance, Guthix, the faction is not inherently Guthixian - although some prominent members are former Guthixians.

In Asgarnia, the Godless tend to congregate around Port Sarim, where the shifting of ships and trade keep them under the radar of the faith, and Taverley, where many Godless sympathizers live to this day.

They are overall, a Geurilla force, doing what they can to strike at the Gods' forces to sabotage and weaken the Gods as a whole. That is, at least until they can properly stand against a God directly with their own military might.

To look into Godless focused RP in and outside Asgarnia, the best people to ask are those involved with the Godless Clan, namely Adventurers, Ptolemy Dean, and Cloud.

The Imperial Guard
°
•(
)•
Asgarnia
•(
)•

The Imperial Guard is the Premier Guard force of Burthorpe. Entrusted to fight to defend Burthorpe in times of pressure, this defensive force does more patrolling and policing than military fighting, but that may change with the return of the Gods.

• Commander •
The sole leader of the Imperial Guard who has authority over the entire force.

The current commander is, Commander Denulth.

• Majors •
Battle tacticians who are responsible for a region’s company and that crime rates are low during peace times. Their uniform consists of regional colour identification.

Current majors are:
Major Mary Rancour of Buthorpe (Red).
Major (Vacant) of Taverley (Green).
Major (Vacant) of Aethyra (Blue).

• Captains •
Tasked with leading a platoon of officers during battle and keeping soldiers in line. Their uniform consists of the regional colour identification.

There are three captains per company.

• Sergeants •
In charge of the training of officers and trainees in the peacetime and a squad of officers during battle. Their uniform consists of the regional colour identification.

There are three Sergeants per platoon.

• Officers •
The main force of the Guard and consist of Recruits, Privates and Corporals ranked members. They are tasked with fighting on the front lines in platoons, detachments or guard duty during peace time.

• Trainee •
New members of the Guard who train under their senior officers in Buthorpe.

If you want roleplay involving the Imperial Guard, it is reccomended to poke Lady Thalia ingame, for some investigations. If fighting is more your style, they often appear in plots in and around Taverley and Burthorpe.

Goblins
°
•(
)•
Asgarnia
•(
)•

Following the commandments of Bandos, whom they refer to as ''Big High War God,'' most goblins try to live an unthinking life of fighting, wars, and bloodshed. As a result, modern day goblins are simple-minded, warlike, easily controlled, (most likely due to their enslavement by Bandos), although this was not originally the case, and they have been used as basic foot soldiers by many different entities throughout Gielinor's history.

Goblins are usually weaker than a human warrior, but as Goblins are a warrior society they tend to easily overwhelm opponents with numbers. That said, Goblins in Asgarnia tend to form raiding parties for supplies, to return to their Goblin Village.

Two tribes of Goblins are native to Asgarnia, living here for generations. These are the small, ''Red'' Goblins known as the Thorobshuun, and the larger ''Green'' Goblins known as the Garagorshuun.

However, the Death of Bandos and the launch of the God Wars has led to other tribes of Goblins thirsting for battle to roam Asgarnia as mercenaries. Most notable are the ''White'' Saragorgak who serve Saradomin as Mercenaries, and the ''Black'' Huzamogarb, who follow Zamorak as they did in times of old. Both tribes were once General Graardor's, sold to Saradomin and Zamorak respectively.

Trolls
°
•(
)•
Asgarnia
•(
)•

Trolls are one of the more unique, though not very intelligent, races of Gielinor. Whilst the main population exists within the mountainous troll country known as Trollheim, the race is quite widespread, populations being known to stretch as far as Piscatoris, Neitiznot and Daemonheim; populations of river trolls are also known to exist near most popular fishing spots.

They are something of an oddity when compared with other races such as humans or gnomes. Trolls are split into several different types which all differ from each other greatly. It is not currently known if these are different species of troll or different breeds. These differences reflect the troll race's hardiness, and ability to adapt to a number of extreme environments, although all trolls share some similarities such as their rocky appearances, their thick skins and their relatively low levels of intelligence.

Trolls are usually Bandosian, though not the most devout. When Fossil, a Troll Leader lost a duel with Bandos, the ousted Troll leader joined the Godless, and his tribe joined Bandos. This led to an end of the Burthorpe/Troll war in the same severity it had during the Fifth Age, with many of the Trolls who served Bandos dying.

Trolls are named for the first thing they eat, or the sound it makes when they ate it.

Within Asgarnia, most Trolls come from Trollheim, and tend to be of the Mountain, though rarely the Ice breeds.

Troll focused roleplay is uncommon in Asgarnia, with Trolls more often posing as antagonists.
