A Summary of the Summer Festival
Rumor and mischief hung firmly upon the proceedings leading up to the coronation, as King Nolfinwë, leader of the self-pronounced kingdom, Hynafiaid, created the summer festival as means to marry and create a queen of his choosing. After having their fill of apple-bobbing, fortune telling, festivities, and other employed acts provided by the elvish kingdom, the guests were amassed affront the tombstone of Glarial in preparation of the ceremony which had truly brought them there.
Rumor shifted into actuality, as the debate over whether or not the words suggesting that the King would marry his sister, Tailynn, were true, was finally settled. King Nolfinewë, affront all of his guests, declared his love for his sister, marrying and pronouncing her queen affront various attending orders. Despite clear unease within the crowd, no protest was offered at the gathering, and all went pleasantly, for a time.
After an ill-timed raffle that did not ease the minds of those whom attended, the main entertainment event (or so it was seem, at the time) was started, alongside a treasure trail, supposedly intending to test the wit of the participants. Enslaved Airuts, captured by the men of the King, were brought forward to a pit where the guests were permitted to gather, and test their metal against the beasts if they found themselves brave enough. Three rose to the task, slaying the two creatures, and claiming blessed, crystal weapons given form by the powerful words of the elvish elders attending.
While all seemed to calm, the reality of the matter was far from true,- exterior forces moving to shape the path of the coronation in a more unpleasant direction. The treasure trail, a test of wit, pitting attendants against riddles created by an elder of the kingdom, veered off course, moving off the planned path, established by the elves, and leading them to a less fabricated reality of the kings intent and virtue.
