I'm going to be leaving the group, possibly for a little while, possibly not coming back, it really depends on where roleplay takes me.

For an ic explanation, Felix has left the company of the group to attempt bringing Saa back by following up leads taking him to the Elven lands.

Good luck, guys, and have fun wherever the road takes you all.

The following posts are Lore-posts.
These are all relative to a continent to the west of the mainland. It is reachable by boats, and other such means.
The following, is it's history of main events, the things it is reputed for, was reputed for, and the likes.

Continent Name: The land is known as Kreefa.

Weather: It's a cold place, suffering from rather constant winter, excluding on it's southern portion, and immediate western border.

Span of existence: It has existed as long as any other mass of land. It suffered little from the God Wars however, it's distance being one reason, the other being Kreefa's instability, and constant habit of hosting it's own wars.
It has been populated nearly as long as it has existed.

Races: All races reside within this continent. All will have more-so adapted to the cold weather, aside from those within the cities. (Reason stated later.)

Upon this continent magical is highly common. Expertise with it is otherwise, but most all find a way to use it. (This excludes peasantry and the weaker-folk. Such as, meager bandits.)

Brigands will usually have a leader whom wields magic in some manner.

The military have soldiers trained to use elements alongside their weaponry.

In this place ones physical strength will grow faster, presumably due to the magic seeping into them.

In short, on this continent, there is a generally higher degree of strength universally.

Cities: All the main cities are fairly large, they bear farms, and so on.

There are many cities upon the continent, and many villages. All larger cities have wizards whom reside in towers at their center, and create climate bubbles, that prohibit the frigid air from entering into the cities, allowing farm growth, and similar things.

Villagers outside of these cities are tough, gruff people. All having learned to grow some plants and foots even in the harsh of Winter.

Landmarks, Important organizations, etc: The land has always been rife with magic, one of it's greatest things of renown being it's Wizards Tower. Which, despite all the wars, and battles, always stands.

It's capital city is monstrous, equaling up to nearly three large cities in it's span. It's segregated into sections:

Noble Quarter: Nobles and Royalty live here. Alongside rulership. It is heavily guarded, always.

Mercenary/Trade Quarter: This portion of the city is home to Guilds of mercenaries, whom, considering the lands tendency toward war, are a huge source of wealth.
Merchants and such also reside within this section.

Residency Quarter: Here reside most all the common citizens, and middle-wealth families. Some trade happens in it's square. Inns are in this quarter, and other such things.

Low Quarter: This is the totale of all the rim of the city. It is just beyond the wall, and where anyone who enters the city must cross through to get anywhere. Outside of the paths leading to the other quarters, this section is mostly unguarded, and highly dangerous. Brigands and the likes.

The Capital is powerful, and ruled ultimately by one man, and his councilors. It has remained neutral to most all occurring wars, and due to its near invincibility, has had no struggle doing so.

Within the darkest caves of the land reside these objects titled "Gates" a crude name for what they truly are.

These Gates are inter-dimensional portals, that connect to other realms, and Gates. These Gates are the reason for the continents magical extremities, as they pull in magic from multiple other realms, and culminate it upon that Continent.

That land is also rife with Mercenary guilds in places other than the capital. They are the source of much of the war. Some of the greatest guilds reside in near-city sized buildings, and host armies.

Mercenary warfare continued next post.

The largest Mercenary guilds are what culminate the war in the land.

This is due to the desire for territory, and control. The land is divided into grids for them.

There are a few kinds of guilds, they are as follows:

Territory Guilds: These "Guilds" are more like giant factions, seeking to gain control over as much territory as possible, via any means. They have their own men and women enlisted, and trained in their own unique manners, however they will always recruit other guilds to their cause.
Villages always seek to be in control of a Territory Guild, as it ensures security from barbarian raids, monsters, and more violent mercenary guilds.

Training Guilds: These Guilds exist primarily to teach and train, with the goal of producing Adventurers and heroes for the other guilds. They will "rent out" their people to gain income, and keep peace with the owners of their territory, but otherwise remain passive.

Mercenary Guilds: These guilds are rather self-explaining. They primarily consist of people trained in one more unique manner of fighting. (Such as Spellblades, focused air and lightning manipulants, Gunwielders whom blend magic with their bullets.)
These guilds are "passive" but exist to be rented out. They train their people, but not for the sake of teaching an art. They exist to wage battle, and gain titles and rank and power. Thus is their existence.

Other forms of guilds exist, but these are the primary kind, and the most important.

Regions: These are currently rather undefined, I apologize. But it's a ton of naming and etc I've not gotten to doing. I would gladly accept help in the invention of these, and devising of them.

The Northern Wastes: This place is avoided at all costs. It is akin to the wilderness, however it suffered a much different fate. It's cities and villages all sucked into some strange void, by a demonic wizard known as Vathia.

The Capital exists near to the center of the Continent, somewhat closer to the South.

Territory Guilds:

Liontaria Charia (Lions Grace.)

This guild is considered more noble in means. It's owned territories are more faithfully guarded, and it takes better care of it's means of battle, less collateral.

Known Enlisted Other Guilds:

The Grey Hands:
An order primarily consisting of Knights, and Warriors, heavily armored and experts of tactical martial warfare.

The Perpetual Blink:
An order of magic users, who specialize in debilitation, and teleportation/transportation.

The Mark:
And Order of archers. But not normal archers, these archers infuse magic into their bows. Arrows of flame, frost, lightning, and other unique effects.
The elite of The Mark, are known as Portal Archers, wielding a very powerful form of magical archery.

Others of course exist, these are three larger ones ****cribed to Lion's Grace.

Territory Guild 2:

Ena' Lepida

A Guild that revolves entirely around swordsmanship, all of their enlisted guilds consist of other sects of swordsmen, and their styles. Their seclusive conscription has limited the number of swordsmen working in other guilds.

Known ****cribed guilds:

Unstated for the time being.

Territory Guild 3:

The Black:

The Black isn't inherently evil, as much as they are nondiscriminatory to their means, of battle. They have no fear of dark magic, or brutality, making them the least favored Territory guild, and the most dangerous.

Known Enlisted Guilds:

Ashen Tears:

A group of wizards who specialize in fire, and it's remnants. They use a form of magic that manipulates Ash, blinding their foes, and decimating their lungs. Highly debilitating, whilst also dangerously lethal.

Bloodstorm:

A group of warriors, and magic wielders whom have a violent lust for blood. They manipulate blood to control foes, and form weaponry. They're renowned for being brutal, and evil.

More exist, these two are most pertinent to this sect.

More Territory guilds may exist. This I leave open for others to enter with.

Warfare:

The battles of the guilds used to be massive, and epic. But in recent years, since Vathia's rise, have dulled down. Consisting mostly of small skirmishes, and battles over villages, as opposed to the days of battling for cities and warring over massive sections of lands with innumerable amounts of troops.

War over cities is usually done in a rather formal manner. To attack a city, one territory must state to the controlling guild it's declaration of war. They each then state what guilds they will bring in alongside their own, and the battle is conducted at an agreed upon time.

Villages are traded in control frequently, they are a source of much bloodshed. Excluding the more dark and hostile guilds, collateral is typically avoided by the guilds.

The Capital is uncontrolled by a guild, however, it is the intercession for when a war gets out of hand. As has happened in the past.

The continent is at a state of near "peace" the battles primarily happening within smaller encounters.

The Wizards Tower, is not a "Guild", and does not partake in the wars. Though many would call it a Training Guild, it never rents out it's trainees. It resides dangerously close to the Northern Wastelands.

I believe this sums most of the need-to-know information on the continent, I will now move onto history. I am leaving the rest of this, and one other space empty, for anything that is requested to be added in, or needed.

Continent History:

Kreefa has, from it's founding, been a place of battle. For the longest time, this was brutal warfare, territory war with no reason, or rhyme, merely senseless reddening of the snow.

This evolved over time, progressing till they began the guild system. The guild system gave birth to a need for architects, merchants, cities, and the likes. And produced a civilization, that still rather bloody, began to thrive.

Over time this became more and more civilized, and developed. Leading to the first legitimate territory guilds. Lions Pride, being the reason for the safe building of a capital city. This construction lead to the decision that this city should be neutral to the guilds, and have enough power to interceded during times of such a things need.

By the 200th year of true civilization, the capital came to the decision to declare a non-aggression pact betwixt all the guilds, for a 100 year period. In this time, the Teaching Guilds would be built, the other main cities, and the map of the continent, that had for so many ages not-existed.

Also during this time, the Wizards Tower was built. And built atop a series of caverns that seemed to exude great amounts of magic. As a safeguard, and an investigative means.

At the end of this 100 year period, the main Territory guilds had been founded. Alongside a large amount of teaching guilds. At the end of the period, the Capital gave forth territory to each of the guilds, and allowed the battles to recommence.

This persisted for another few hundred years, the cycle seeming meaningless, aside from it leading to a constant escalation of power in the continent.

This finally lead into Kreefa's first dark period.

The Dark Period. Or, The Rise of The Black.

Around the time that the first God Wars ensued, a great war ensued upon Kreefa. This war was instigated by The Black.

The Guild Wars were always fought with a sort of competitive violence, a war of challenge, and growth. It was the lands way of progressing in power.

However, eventually, within The Black, there began to be those who sought more than just the competitive warring, they sought control.

A group infiltrated into the Wizards Tower, sneaking beneath it's tunnels, and wrought forth creatures from it's depths of the darkest kinds. Hundreds upon hundreds of wizards died within the tunnels beneath the tower.

Among them being a name of great renown, that being Araeos Greyhawk, the Glorified. His death leading to the redemption and saving of the tower.

However, longevity was not what the Black Sought in this war, they only sought a distraction, and to derive power. From the tower they pulled out many a beast, and loosed many others. Crippling Lions Grace, and the other territory guilds, and mercenary guilds with the warring that ensued. And thus, The Black, before anyone had yet associated the acts with them, rose up and took over with a brutal violence most of the continent, slaughter and death ensuing. Many a written atrocity committed in this time. The most horrid recorded being within a book titled "Blackened Blood." This recording the events of a Mercenary Guild known as Valiance's Savants mighty battle, and brutal slaughter, over a small village.

The Black overtook nearly everything, inflicting immense losses to all sides, and all people, crippling everyone but themselves.
This was when the Capital intervened, gathering up the mercenaries in their city, their own soldiers, and lead by their great commander, they rode out, cut a swathe to the wizards tower, and then in tandem therewith, began the reclamation of the continent. Gaining further aid from various sources as they fought. (cont next post)
