A simple letter with red ink written on papyrus would be delivered to Pharaoh Ramenhotep.
Pharaoh. God-King. Leader. You are none of these things. For so long, I have cringed at your actions. But today, I cringe no more. I have traveled across the land and was disgusted by the display you have put up. I have seen the posters you have sent out to the world, asking for foreign mercenaries.
Pathetic.
I have seen how you flaunt our gold and wealth to foreigners in these posters. For too long, the people of the desert have suffered under your rule. You and your associates will fall. Consider this a warning.
I will give you one day to consider your past misdeeds. One day to write your letter of resignation. One day to leave the desert.
May the Pantheon have mercy upon you.
~ Fahim of Nardah.
At the bottom of the letter would be a gold leaf of the Bank of Sophanem. There is blood splattered on it.
Feel free to send me a message so we may discuss this.

A Jihad was just called on Ramenhotep.
Ramenhotep's no longer pharaoh, as a matter of fact, both cities at the river's end now belong to Al Kharid. Ramenhotep was one of the last Pharaohs who tried to stop this, along with Khepri, Osmumten II, and the theocrat Tanuu. All of which failed, Ramenhotep is currently in hiding, I am actually unaware of the other's whereabouts - Khep*i is in hiding actually.
As for the thread it is very shiny.

Character Name: Varner Drosk
Race: Human
age: 41
Gender: Male
Station on the Hierarchy: Nobility, General
Backstory: As the eldest son of the Drosk household, varner was also expected to achieve great things as House Drosk was once known as one of the most important noble families in the city. Unfortunately the family had long since fallen out of favour and most of the city barely noticied as their first born came of age. As he sat at the woefully small celebrations, seeing for the first time the decline of his family, Varner swore he would restore his families honor and enrolled in the military the very same day.
Varner swiftly carved out an impressive military career for himself, impressing his superiors with his commitment to the cause and his lateral thinking which often produced some of the most effective tactics they'd ever seen. As an officer he was considered completely loyal and totally ruthless to the enemies of sophanem and thus was finally made general of the army at the age of just 40.

Backstory: Born a commoner, Osaddama rose to high status by killing countless infidels. He soon became high priest after doing lots of boring political stuff. He has parents, a decent house, no pets, yadda, yadda. But as surely as the sun god sets, his life will become more interesting with time.
