Death's Head Hussars
°
"May Death take you in one clean stroke."

Formed with the purpose of acting as protectors of Thalia Renderra and Asgarnia, the Death's Heads are a light cavalry force, few but ferocious. Clad in black uniforms with a saber at their side, the Hussars can awe the allies around them, and strike fear into their enemies.

The minuscule chain of command can be seen through the different colored hats they wear:
Black, Standard Members
White, Veteran Members
Red, Leaders

An awful lot of shooting stars flew across the night sky. Under the cover of clouds, these weren't ordinary stars. Something collided into Gielinor. In multiple locations. The moths were stirred, hordes of them flying across the skies the next day.

A chorus of agony echoes across western Asgarnia. Baleful moans of pain heard from the woods at night. Rumors grow, ghost stories arise of men made of crystal and flesh terrorizing farmhouses at night. Guards who patrol the western woods never return. Farmers disappear. The rumors have started to become fact, there is something out there. The only proof that stays constant is that terrifying lament. The lament of the Crystal.

Lament of the Crystal - The Crystalline Cryptids

Where: Western Asgarnia - Booker’s Investigation is being conducted from the Pick and Lute Pub in Taverley.
When: Soon™
Who's invited: Any who believe these rumors are worth investigation.

Summary: The people of Taverley claim that something is haunting the woods south of their peaceful village, people are definitely disappearing for sure. Every night for the past month, people of southern Taverley have definitely heard what sounds like pained crying but echoed throughout the trees.

Booker Ares has a theory, and is spearheading his own investigation into what is going on. Any and all people in Asgarnia who wish to join the investigation is welcome, as long as they are aware that they may be getting into a dangerous situation.

Booker Ares knelt by a tree, examining the crystalline shard embedded deep into the trunk. He gently ran a finger along the side, then gripped the side of it and pulled the shard from the tree. It slid neatly from the wood, and Booker flipped it over in his hands. Gripping his rapier, Booker stood up and slid the crystal shard into his coat.

As he stood there, he immediately felt a sharp pain in his back. He winced, stumbling forward as he reached back, feeling a huge shaft of crystal, almost like a javelin. It stuck into his shoulder as he flipped his rapier off of the belt, his eyes darting around the surroundings trees in fear. Something was out there, definitely. He could feel the javelin sapping his strength as he looked around, barely able to keep his eyes open. Whatever magic was in the crystalline weapon was causing him to begin to lose consciousness. He estimated it was a powerful Sap curse of some kind imbued into the weapon, which would mean he had approximately three minutes before he completely lost consciousness.

Fighting wasn't an option, whatever this was, it wasn't showing itself anyway. Clearly whoever or whatever attacked him was waiting for him to lose consciousness. First option, teleportation. Obvious, simple. Would get him out of the situation quickly and effectively. Booker attempted to teleport, and found that he was completely teleblocked. Of course, that would have been too easy. He was thinking like a victim, he needed to think like the attacker. If he was ambushing someone what would he do. Sap their strength, teleblock them, eliminate any other means of escape. Unless... They couldn't see one.

Booker stumbled sideways against the tree, leaning for support and whistling. His hidden gray wolf mount, who had been sleeping nearby, came running. Booker mounted him and rode off. Booker slowly passed into unconsciousness as the wolf carried him away from the danger. It was clear the rumors were true.

Name: Dendor
Age: 27
Race: Human
Religion: None
Occupation: Always for-hire. Always.
Location: Nomad, with preference toward the Fremennik Province

A little summary of your character:
- Dendor has a talent for accomplishing tasks, and an affinity for killing (although his soft-skills have always proven to be more profitable). There is very little that this wanderer cannot accomplish (for a fee), be it by the pen or by the sword. Although he was trained as a soldier, politics are a guilty pleasure, in which he's very well adept.

Dendor/Human/For-hire - Nomad
"To summarize: it is a well-known fact that those people who most want to rule people are , ipso factors, those least suited to do it . To summarize the summary: anyone who is capable of getting themselves made President should on no account be allowed to do the job."
