PERTINACIA


The city of Pertinacia was built on north-eastern shores of Forinthry to become the kingdom’s largest port of commerce. It was given a zarosian name by Bane in a rare moment of sentimentality upon realizing this would be the first proper settlement to have been built in Forinthry since the Second Age. The name translates as “Defiance” or sometimes “Stubbornness” which seemed appropriate given the harsh conditions and violent neighbors. Lord Bane’s hope is to attract visitors from far and wide to the port. Some from across the North Sea in places like Piscatoris, Kardia, Rellekka, Morytania and the Eastern Lands and some from Misthalin and Asgarnia via the newly constructed underground rail network. It has a surrounding wall with outposts situated at equidistant points around the perimeter but its main defense is its distance from any hostile faction. The main routes into the city, by sea and by rail are guarded jealously though it is not always clear by what. Rellekka is landscaled as being this city.

Q. Are you claiming Rellekka?
A. No, not at all, this is a landscaled city and we will always try to avoid disrupting the RPs of the actual IC owners of the city.

Q. Why did you pick Rellekka?
A. For several reasons, firstly I wanted a city that was close to a lodestone to avoid discouraging roleplayers from visiting. Secondly I considered it to be unfair to use a city like Varrock as it seemed less than believable that such a large city could be built so quickly in the wilderness. And thirdly it matched the appearance of Forinthry better than any other city I considered.

City Rules


The kingdom’s rules of invasion remain unchanged but as I intend this to become an RP hub I should lay down some rules concerning raids and criminal activity.
1. Raids require no formal warning but require the IC presence of at least one member of ruling council to take place and should contain no more than 8 people.
2. Criminal activity requires no warning but the presence of at least one other person IC in the area (If wishing to commit a crime entirely unseen notify us and we’ll put a patrol of guards in place which you can try to avoid).
