Due to the Synods inability to select a suitable candidate from without or within its number, it has been interpreted by the Vice-Chancellor and Chairman of the Electoral Committee, Cesare Sforza, that it is Saradomin's Mandate for the Church to be led by the Synod, extending its membership to all Bishops until such a time as a suitable candidate arises.

A letter to the Grand Synod of the Church of Saradomin from Prince Alphonso Eriador.

Your Eminences,

A grave situation has encumbered Ardougne. The city has fallen to aggressors from the west: heathens of crystal whom seek to oppress the men and women of Kandarin. Their aim is to restore some former glory which is only briefly mentioned in the history books, but they have displayed great might in their swift conquest of the City.

It is rumoured that the King fled, abandoning his people. With this in mind, I, Alphonso Eriador, request an urgent audience with the peers of your Synod, to appeal for a sanctioned liberation of Ardougne from these heathen oppressors. I would request it be in my own name.

Should your Eminences deem my request reasonable without audience, as I would beg of you, for time is short and it is impossible to know when the Elves shall strike again (their armies are already undoubtedly prepared, for they fought no battle in Ardougne), I request a response post haste.

A large golden eagle would arrive to the Holy City of Falador , in it’s massive claws are a small package of sorts and then a letter in a canister on it’s back. The Letter would read;

To the Lords of Kandar and the Holy Church,

This is the face of our enemy, learn it well for we shall be becoming quite close to them. They are killable, do not listen to the lies and rumors that are spreading, like any enemy all you need to find is their center of gravity. We shall win this War and this City.

At the bottom of the letter would be the signature of Aegidius Blackwood, the Heathen and Shield of Ardougne.

The package, which was a box, if opened would find the head of a dead elf, magically infused to stay fresh. Each one of them would have half of their right ear messing. If any spells would cast on it, nothing would change, it was in fact a head of a elf soldier. Myles
