The Separation of Purity and Sin

Upon hearing of the heinous acts of Varian I, Saradomin's Divine Appointment to the Nation State of Asgarnia as King, the Divine Rector, Julian** Primus, and his trusted Diacheiristís Theologías, the Archbishop of Asgarnia, Gerard de Montferrat, set about investigating the mystery of the soul. After countless hours pouring through ancient manuscripts, it was found that there is precedence, guided by the Lord Saradomin, for the forgiveness of grievous sin by the partition of a soul after death.

For it to be successful, however, it requires the damnation of the body and soul, first, to the fiery hellpit of Infernus, wherein it shall be devoured and cleansed. The purity, however, will remain, and shall be sent to New Domina in peace, to rest with the Lord.

In light of this "discovery", the Divine Rector has sent Gerard de Montferrat to arrange a meeting with the Queen Dowager of Asgarnia, Zara de Moselle, and the Duchess of Anglia, Isla Grey, and, if possible, the underage King himself.

Character name: Edric Rorran.
Tell us a bit about your character:Edric was a Paladin who served during king lathas' reign. He's been a devoted of Saradomin all of his life, only leaving Ardougne to serve in the battle of lumbridge. during West ardougne's revolt (Plague's end), he served the king just like every other paladin did, believing it was saradomin's will for him to rule. the paladins lost the fight, and shortly after, he reflected upon the acts his king performed. now knowing he served a sinner, he too associated himself with the crimes of his fallen lord. He now seeks redemption.

I was watching Monty Python and the Holy Grail earlier, and thought of you guys during the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch scene. It got me thinking.

Does the Church set any quests or tasks for those whose devotion to Saradomin takes a more martial form? What might the rewards be for such endeavours? I was thinking about the Holy hand Grenade and it got me wondering about enchanted/blessed weapons; while a blessing or prayer said over them might not actually have to provide any noticeable advantage (people tend to be anti-magic swords in RP), it'd be a great goal for militant Saradominist characters to strive towards. What paladin wouldn't want a blade blessed by the representative of Saradomin, enhanced or no? Just thought I'd share.
One man's trash is another's treasure, and one man's cash buys another's pleasure.
So I'll rob from the cradle, and I'll rob from the grave; it's just human traffic, and I'm just a slave.

I love the use of unique weapons and items (So long as they're not Holy Hand Grenadelike in that they're horrendously overpowered). That's a pretty cool idea: could create some interesting heirlooms and things for the priesthood and noble families too: unique items that only one person has. Creates identity, character, and personality.
