The Crystal Throne & Knights of the Round Table

The Crystal Throne- a throne formerly made of gilded wood and red drapings- has now been sung into crystal by the elven King of Camelot and is the seat at the head of the Round Table (As well as all of Camelot).

The ruling body of Camelot, under the Crown, is based around the iconic feature of Camelot: the Round Table.

Although the Crown retains absolute power, it is seldom exerted without full consultation of the members of the Round Table, who govern and manage the independent Kingdom of Camelot. Based off Arthurian legend, the Round Table was meant to symbolize equality amongst those sat at it, since no one could sit at the head of the table or the end. This tradition has been broken by the new elf king, however, as he has sung out a crystalline throne at the opposite end of the table from the gates of the castle.

The positions on the Round Table are as follows:

>The Monarch - Queen Blodwyn 'Ithell' Telemmaitë (Carwyn)
>The Marshal - Sir Círdan 'Ithell' Telemmaitë (Huntyar)
>The Grandmaster - Sir Richard Thomas Woodford (Malcolm lII)
>The Steward -
>The Admiral - Dame Marwnad 'Iorwerth' (Fynnien)
>The Treasurer -
>The Justice - Sir Frederick William Grimdark (Erkenbrand I)
>The Archmage -

The Realm's Holdings

The Kingdom of Camelot:

The Duchy of Camelot

The traditional capital of the Kingdom of Camelot, the duchy itself is generally run by the king himself and boasts Camelot Castle; one of the most well-defended castles in Kandarin.

Administrated by Queen Blodwyn 'Ithell' Telemmaitë (Carwyn), RP'ed at Camelot.

The Barony of Sherwood - A minor barony in the southern woods on the way to Catherby, granted to Elena Strider shortly after its confiscation from a rebellious noble who opposed the Elf King's rule.

Administrated by Baroness Elena Strider (Bella Kivail), RP'ed at POH.

The Duchy of Seershaven

The largest urban center in all of the traditional de jure Kingdom of Camelot, Seershaven is home to a population of seers with a limited knowledge of the future, among other various ethnic groups; Fremenniks, elves, Kandars and more.

Administrated by Duchess Gwenyvere Grey (Michsterious), RP'ed at Seers' Village.

The County of Vaterra - A primarily rural, wooded County in the westernmost reaches of the kingdom, Vaterra is known for being too far from most action to be of significant value to either its holder or attacker; thus resulting in it primarily being kept tucked away in safety. Most of its value lies in its mining of coal- a resource not taken nearly enough advantage of by any past Camelite King.

Administrated by the royal family, RP'ed at McGrubor's Wood.

The Barony of Crisiant - The Barony of Crisiant was granted to a loyal member of the Dawnus, Pryderi Tarii, in an effort to revive another elven noble house. Situated on a flat plain, the barony focuses its efforts on agriculture.

Administrated by Baron Pryderi 'Cadarn' Tarii (The Gods), RP'ed at POH.

The Realm's Holdings (Cont.)

The Duchy of Kantor

Kantor is the region generally used to describe the urban settlement of Hemenster and Fort Hemenster. More than that, however, it encompasses Baxtorian Falls, almost the entirety of the bay and is the gateway between Ardougne and Camelot; comprising roughly an entire third of Ardougne's traditional land as a kingdom. It can be seen as unusual for Kantor to fall into Camelite hands, but it did so only after its duke seceded from Ardougne and subsequently bent the knee to King Nolfinwë.

Administrated by Duke Aunrich Florane (Magnickicent), RP'ed at the Ranged Guild and the Fishing Guild.

The County of Baxtorian Falls - A site holy to Serenists across the world, Baxtorian Falls was granted to Tailynn Telemmaitë; sister of Nolfinwë, as a symbol of peace between Ardougne and elves in more recent times. It has thus far remained loyal to Duke Aunrich of Kantor, and joined with Camelot as Kantor has.

Administrated by Countess Tailynn 'Ithell' Telemmaitë (Lianna98), RP'ed at Baxtorian Falls.

The Duchy of Iliara

Like Vaterra, Iliara was Ardougne's equivalent of Vaterra until it too, like Kantor, bent the knee to Camelot- a rural, mostly wooded, wild land on the north-westernmost edge of the kingdom. Mountainous and yet open, this region also contains the entry to Arandar.

Administrated by the royal family, RP'ed at Eagles' Peak and The Outpost.

The Realm's Holdings (Cont.)

The Duchy of the Southerlands

Comprising the vast forests south of central Camelot, the Southerlands were originally the buffer state against much of Ardougne. Since the annexation of Kantor, however, that much has changed. The Duchy took a turn of events when most of its population was slaughtered by King Nolfinwë, and was the first Duchy in the Kingdom to become dominantly elven.

Administrated by Duke Kywel 'Ithell' Telemmaitë (Bloxzor), RP'ed at POH.

The County of Hailawën - A small chunk of wooded area in the northern segment of the Southerlands is where one might find this keep of what would be entirely elves. The vast elven population here had immigrated in following of Nolfinwë taking power, gradually and over the course of a century. The County has, in recent times, become the capital of the Duchy of the Southerlands.

Administrated by Duke Kywel 'Ithell' Telemmaitë (Bloxzor), RP'ed at POH.

The County of La Faye - A small, coastal county close many Duchies' borders, La Faye boasts the pride and honor of Keep Le Faye; a beachside, rocky fortress guarding the last significant port to the southern seas in Camelot. It broke off from the Duchy of Catherby when the Battalion took over, and just before King Nolfinwë stepped down, he added it to the Southerlands.

Administrated by the royal family, RP'ed at La Faye Keep.

Duchyless

County of Sinclair South - Created as an independent County of any Duchy after the splitting of the Duchy of Sinclair into halves, the County is the fairer half of the two; possessing a more temperate climate, as well as plenty of woodland. It remains ravaged by war parties at the moment, and will take a fair bit of time to regrow its population.

Administrated by Count Círdan 'Ithell' Telemmaitë (Huntyar), RP'ed at Sinclair Manor.

The County of Lythel - An island just off the coast of Tirannwn, this unusual and mysterious island- home to what many believe is a private training ground for the elven armies of the king- has recently been added as part of the kingdom. It does not interact much with the rest of the kingdom, but many elves have been migrating out of the island and into Camelot- and nobody knows when the mass migration will end.

Administrated by Countess Aelwen 'Ithell' Telemmaitë (DrakTheSnek), RP'ed at The Holy Grail castle.

The County of Rune La Faye - A smaller county created in the midst of the conflict with the Battalion, comprising primarily of those citizens of Catherby who fled the fighting; this County straddles the coastline and was founded by a former merchant, one whom King Nolfinwë would go on to name Countess Kyra Velqesh.

Administrated by Countess Kyra Velqesh (Kyra Velqesh), RP'ed at Yanille.

The Red Banner

The Red Banner is based off of the late General Thessaly Grimdark's Red Company, the first organised military order of Camelot back during the reign of King Sennis.

The Red Banner, identical to the Red Company, is the international, offensive unit of Camelot's army. They are trained in offensive siege and battle tactics that would be of use to them in the event of an offensive war. For example, if for some reason Camelot decided to invade Ardougne, the Red Banner would be the primary soldiers involved in such a feat, with the Green Banner buffing up numbers if necessary.

The Red Banner make their home in Fort Aegis, a military fortress built to the east of Kantor's capital of Hemenster. Since the duchy was annexed by Camelot, many military operations have been conducted here including training and large-scale recruitment campaigns. The fort's history contributes to the reason behind why the elven king wanted to make it clear his military was present here; including it being named after a war hero of the Ardougnians against the elves.

The Red Banner are funded directly from the Kingdom's coffers. The Red Banner, unlike their brothers-in-arms the Green Banner, can only take orders from the Crown and the Office of the General, with the nobility incapable of legally interfering.

Although they use a similar uniform to that of the Green and Blue Banner, the Red Banner wear red cloaks and carry a red-star of Camelot when riding into battle. Their shields and other armaments also possess this red-star which distinguishes them from their Blue and Green counterparts.

The uniform for members of the Red Banner is as follows:

Head: Iron helm.
Body: Iron platebody.
Legs: Iron platelegs.
Cape: Bladestorm Drape

The Green Banner

Whereas the Red Banner is Camelot's offensive and international army, the Green Banner is the local, defensive army.

Based off of the Green Company from the era of King Sennis, the Green Bannermen are effecively guards and retainers of the lords of the lands they inhabit and guard. They are commanded by their lord and there is no national ranking grid for the Green Banner. They reside in whatever holding they join the Green Banner in and that is where they train, work and live.

The Green Banner are trained in defensive measures such as defending from sieges, dealing with petty crime, and other forms of defense and they can be easily distinguished by the green cloaks that they wear whilst on duty. For example, if Camelot was invaded by another Kingdom, the Green Banner would be the primary troops involved in the defense of Camelot since that is their speciality.

The Green Banner are financed by the lord that they serve and receive orders from them, although legally the Crown and the Office of the General can override these orders. In battle, the Green Banner refer to the nearest highest-ranking defending noble.

The Green Banner uniform is as follows:

Head: Iron helm.
Body: Iron platebody.
Legs: Iron platelegs.
Cape: Arrowstorm Drape.

The Blue Banner

The Blue Banner is the royal navy of Camelot and is responsible for patrolling and securing the oceans within Camelot's borders.

The Blue Banner is a naval force that is constantly growing in order to facilitate Camelot's highly-developed lumber and shipbuilding industry. To stop producing ships for the Blue Banner could trigger an economic collapse in Camelot's single largest sector, lumber, and as such ships are constantly being produced.

This means that Camelot's navy is also progressing and gaining more ships. Since independence was declared for Camelot, there were next to no military ships left in the Kingdom and as such the efforts of the lumber industry were redirected to give rise to a shipbuilding yard in Keep la Faye and Catherby to build ships.

The Blue Bannermen are the soldiering sailors that operate the military vessels that serve the Round Table, and they are funded directly by the Round Table. They can receive orders from the Crown, the Office of the General and the Office of the Admiral and unlike the Red Banner, men of the Blue Banner are not conscripted from pre-existing Green Bannermen.

The blue banner fleet consists of:

The Duchy of La Faye - The Port of La Faye, guarded by a keep armed with cannons is the haven for the remnants of the Camelite fleet after its destruction at Battalion-occupied Catherby.

Currently docking twenty warships.

The Duchy of Kantor - The Port of Hemenster is a smaller port on Lake Reynard, intended for fishing and transportation across the north sea, but does maintain some very minor degree of military presence to assist in fending off Fremennik raids on the area.

Currently docking three warships.

The Law of the Land

While the Kingdom of Camelot was formerly under the jurisdiction of the Magna Carta, the King has since done away with the old laws in favor of new ones. There is no longer any system of checks and balances, and the king seems to be the only one capable of holding the power to create laws, though the Round Table offers their advice on the matter. The charters still actively in place and the laws bound to them are as follows:

The Charter of Common Law states that no citizen of Camelot may:

-Murder or consider the murder of a fellow citizen.

-Steal or deliberately damage the property of a fellow citizen.

-Engage in unprovoked aggression with a fellow citizen.

-Avoid paying taxes.

-Promote enemy governments and nations within the free Kingdom of Camelot.

-Attempt to infringe upon the independence and sovereignty of the free Kingdom of Camelot.

-Attempt to assume duties meant for law enforcement.

-Fail to report criminal activity to local authorities.

The Charter of Military Law states:

-No foreign soldier may enter the Kingdom of Camelot on duty without the express consent of the Round Table.

-No soldier of the Kingdom of Camelot may engage in aggressive activity without official orders.

-No soldier of the Kingdom of Camelot may kill a surrendered enemy.

-No soldier of the Kingdom of Camelot may assault the citizen of any nation while on a military operation.

-All soldiers of the Kingdom of Camelot must adhere to the orders of the King above the Round Table and the Round Table above officers.

-No soldier of the Kingdom of Camelot may desert during a military campaign.

The Charter of Slave Law states:

-No-one with Kandar citizenship may be held as a slave.

-All slaves to be bought are to be done so under the trade agreement with Karamja's colonial government.
