We chased all the newcomers away for years, so that when we grew up and moved on there was nobody left to pass the torch to.

I am happy and content with the memories I've made and the people I've met in this community over the years. There is no other childhood experience that has had as big an impact on the kind of person I am today than roleplaying with all of you on w42.

I do still play RuneScape, and I do check in on this forum and around w42 from time to time and where before I would become upset at the state this place is in, knowing just how vibrant and wonderful it once was and how happy it made me in the past, I now reminisce when I'm cracking safes in the Ardougne castle. I remember when a great force was amassed to evict the cruel emperor Russia from his throne. I was there.

I remember the whole world amassing in Canifis where a great battle took place against the notorious Sicarius family. And then again in more recent times which may be more familiar to some, when the barrier that kept the forces of evil east of the salve at bay was waning, and we banded together in a great effort to restore it.

I remember the various plots and conflicts that arose from the Worshippers of the Dragonkin causing terror across the globe.

I remember the day I was proclaimed the leader of Yanille. I was 11 years old. I went on to indulge in a fantastic 5 years of roleplay with dozens of amazing people.

I was there and a great many other places too. I feel privileged to be able to say so and so should you for all of your own adventures and memories you've made on this server.

So be content, be happy and move on. You'll begin to feel a lot better about this little home away from home. I know I did.

Are you all this deluded or am I just catching you on a bad day?

I seem to recall it being your skill with a blacklist that made any of this even remotely true so if I was you I'd cut the empty bragging and pay attention to the first statement Eden made, that at least was honest.

The truth is you all utterly ignored the rules to an extent that meant no one wanted to play on here any more. Eden may have felt inspired by the first time he was put in charge of Yanille as he says but you all made damn sure future RPers wouldn't get to enjoy it.

I still find it hilarious that even after all this time your apologies are... well I was going to say rubbish but nonexistent would be closer to the mark. And it is only made more amusing when you look at the posts that have been put on the forums recently still banging on about how it was the POKs and the land claiming that caused the issue. A statement most commonly made by one of you lot or your friends while sitting on the throne of an oversized, inactive POK that you'd banned people from attacking to protect the precious RP plotlines that never materialized.

Bottom line: People left when they were made to feel like second class citizens. And it shouldn't have been me left trying to fix it but you lot taking some responsibility for what you did to this community and more importantly the people within it.

"I miss you guys", I say to a group of people that I have argued with to the point of ridiculousness during my teenage years with over pieces of fake RS land.

I do mean it, though.

I wasn't sure what called me here at the dead of night before my boring job in 5 hours. I'm glad I decided against my better judgement to take a look at the community I left behind after all those years.

I enjoyed the time I spent in the community, even when I butted heads with most of the folk here. I held some of you in high regard even when I went against you. This loyal old dog has since moved on to greener pastures with old friends, but will never forget his stay in the community and the memories made here. Eden, Drazker, Eln, Aren, Penticost, I wish you well in your travels. Those names I did not list I may have forgotten... My apologies.

I have no further bearing on this community having removed myself from it so I am not one to advise on how you will proceed. I only ask that
all of you
each seek out what would be most fufilling and enjoyable in your lives. Perhaps we'll meet again in some distant, or upcoming community. Perhaps not. Treasure the memories you've made here, because humans are nothing without the stories we share.
