Upon travelling to Yanille, a party of two investigated a local livestock pen and were given a few details regarding the recent attacks. The farmer described the beasts as best he could, though it would be unnecessary as three of the manticores arrived to make the livestock their meal once more. The slaying duo ambushed and were skilled enough to kill the creatures, but sustained many wounds of their own.
After the fray had ended, the two were left to heal their injuries and study the beasts further,
taking time to skin and remove any valuable body parts. They knew it was likely that the manticore "nest" was just beyond the southern bay.
