RuneKian, are you actually going to attempt and create Misthalin based RP this time? Or is your squad just asking you to post, bump and pretend you’re active because of this dumb feud that’s been going on between some of the POK based groups?


Are you just trying to save your claim over the kingdom for as long as possible so that on a rainy day you can come back to the server and start right of as King John? I know things can be stale, lacking in immersion and just plain boring with how thinly populated the server and the POK scene might be these days, but holding onto it like this might be a bit much.


Why not just pass it on to someone else? There is no shame in admitting you are, and will be for a long time, unfit to be a POK leader like you intend to be. Maybe you can at least talk to Henry about how he can make his narrative fit your Misthalin and continue from there? It could be a nice opportunity to still be relevant to Misthalin and not be the one getting shouted at when shit hits the fan. Maybe even come back when you're back on your feet and able to dedicate time to your RP group?


Either way, posting these vague small sentence statements every once in a while is just inciting unwanted reactions and assumptions about your whereabouts and reputation. So why are you still trying your hand at making John Valik’s Misthalin work? Are you doing this all out of a sense of justice or do you genuinely believe this is all still about just roleplaying? No, we (assuming this includes me in this group) didn't ask for him to post. Runekian's membership lapsed for a period and has simply been waiting for funds to come in before renewing it. People here have gone "dark" for longer periods, and still, get on with their business without issue.

Not going to comment on those first two lines, as that is just an opinion. But Henry appeared from nowhere in the last week. Don't you think it would be rather hasty to give away your work away to someone you've never interacted with, or seen their wordplay, just like that?

Theoretically, would you give away Arilia to someone you didn't have 100% confidence in to make it work?

I'll give you fair props on that. It could have been more substantial in its wording, but any kind of response was probably going to garner a similar reaction.

As for your final point, I'd say from what I've seen he just wants to have fun roleplaying.

I have to say that I find all this somewhat amusing since in my experience most rulers of Misthalin made a career out of being inactive. In light of that I struggle to see why Runekian's brief hiatus during a period of general inactivity on W42 is worth mentioning.

I also feel a need to make it clear that I was very careful in my selection of an heir while running the Misthalin POK. As I recall it was you yourself, in a passionate speech you made regarding the virtues of the POK I established that formed a basis for the criteria I used to select Runekian as a candidate. I hope that in time you and others are willing to admit to yourselves that you have not given Runekian a fair chance as you were willing to do for me. I ask that before you push forward this new, unproven RPer to lead (an RPer that clearly still has much to learn) you push aside these doubts and see how Runekian's leadership takes shape as we move towards the winter break and the return of activity that we all hope it will bring. I'm willing to wait and see what winter brings. Fair points made. I do not mean to come of pushing someone forward but I do like the idea of unified canon and think both RuneKian and Henry can form conciderable contributions in doing so if they were to work together on one Misthalin. But again, both are totally in their rights to run their own POK. Quickly learn how to Roleplay on RuneScape!

We all want to see the canons reunified but unfortunately that is a much wider issue that encompasses several pok clashes at the moment.

If I were looking for the single most effective means of resolving the issue then the final shut down of the husk of the kandar empire comes to mind but obviously I cannot call upon a pok to be closed down just because of a total lack of activity (barring a couple of posts and events just to hold onto the territory) even if it has been going on for years. I will make the statement that IRL things have been difficult for me the past few months. I won't get into the particular details as that's personal information. Regardless, I am rather serious about this whole thing. Settling back into the groove of the game and of RP in general.

Also, @Croco, if you would not make statements nor assumptions with your opinions that'd be much appreciated. I don't make trouble for you or yours with such talk on your proper channels. Regardless there shall be a proper scheduling drafted up. Not that you'd likely be attending as you have your own matters to attend to.

As far as the new man on the block is concerned I have no plans as of this moment to get in contact with them. However, should I happen to run into them in-game there could be a discussion held about certain things. However, that will be strictly between them and I.

In the past months there has been the rumors brewing in other kingdoms. The storm of war that goes on West of Misthalin's border within Asgarnia. It caused King Vallik to worry for his daughter that he sent as an Ambassador. The rise and restoration of Kandarin under King Percival. All concerns that have been on his mind. Keeping the affairs of domestic issues in the forefront in the aftermath of that witch affair. King Vallik had met again with his Court Mage, the man having the woman demonstrate her magical knowledge and prowess.

It should be known that in the passing months, Duchess Ines Voux-Iowerth has abdicated her position as Duchess of Lumbridge as she has felt that she should focus instead on her pregnancy and the upcoming child of the missing chancellor of varrock, Casper Fredericks. She has instead suggested and advised to King Vallik that her Summoner Carling Dmari take her place. After much debate King Vallik has appointed Carling as the new Duchess of Lumbridge.
