Introduction
It was said that there was once a time that the sign of his flag heralded salvation from whatever living hell was being wrought on Gielinor. That there was a man, or was he an elf, that would, no matter the challenge or the circumstances faced, without question tender aid to those who needed it. Who would, when so many had given up hope or accepted the status quo, stand up against the forces of darkness.
The time of Alexander, however, has passed and many dark forces pervade Gielinor once more. Despots, zealots and lunatics have regained their purchase, and once more, the burden of human suffering hangs heavy upon the world. Those who would recreate the terror of Russia Blood, or the savagery of the old Sicarii, can and do proceed with such malign machinations.
This is not what Alexander, my grandfather, or Armadyl, my God, would have seen done. Upon my shoulders lies this mantle, and even though I doubt myself, I must never ever doubt the necessity of the cause.
The flags will rise again, like the phoenix, like Armadyl did in the face of Bandos. I will raise my banner, and to it I shall accept the many, and against those fetid cruel few I shall do battle. The time of Alexander may have passed, but those ideals shall never die.
