Vampyre roleplay has always been regarded as one of the most difficult due to the amount of lore connected to the abilities of the creatures themselves. A full and in depth guide can be found

However, here's a brief and crash course of Vampyres.
Essentially, Vampyres are a race of creatures that hail from the world called Vampyrium. They were lead to Gielinor by Zaros until joining Zamorak's revolution. They would then go on to assist him during the God Wars. Their most notable conquest was the Saradominist Hallowlands, the home of the Icyene. This would later go on to be named Morytania after the Vampyres took control.
Modern Vampyre society is a deadly game of politics and military might. The capitol city is broken up into three tiers, with only the highest of status and nobility gaining access to the Upper Tier. Those below them live a militaristic lifestyle, most of which being inducted into the ranks of the Vyrewatch. The most ruthless and strong thrive and make their way to the top while the others remain on the bottom. Older Vampyres are generally more powerful than younger Vampyres. It would be odd to find many young Vampyres in the Upper Tier.
Vampyres progress through stages of development. When first turned, they are called Juvenile. After a few hundred years they evolve into Ju/vinates. Finally they reach the final stage, Vyre. There are no further stages of physical development after this point.
