Welcome to the Kingdom of Asgarnia’s finest order of knights – The White Knights of Falador! Founded five years ago in 2010 by the pioneer of White Knight roleplaying, Sir Tain Def, the order has seen many events over the course of world 42’s history. Serving under the figure of his imperial Majesty Varis Salvian, king of Asgarnia, and leader of the order Sir Amik Varze, Commander Claire Lucem commands her own brigade of knights. The White Knights are considered the Protectors of Asgarnia, and make their home in Falador’s castle while spanning across the entire kingdom.

Post 3: Brief History of The White Knights

When Asgarnia was founded by King Raddallin, the White Knights pledged their allegiance to him. The White Knights played a big part in the building of Falador, expanding Asgarnian borders, and defending the land from hostile races such as goblins. As a reward, King Raddallin built them a castle in his new capital city of Falador. The castle still stands to this day and serves as the White Knights headquarters.

After King Raddallin died, his son and heir to the throne, Prince Vallance, was declared King. The White Knights continued to serve the royal family of Asgarnia, until, sadly, King Vallance fell ill. After the disability of the king, Sir Amik Varze was appointed to lead the kingdom of Asgarnia due to the chosen separation of Crown Prince Anlaf. Sir Amik is the leader of the White Knights and governed Asgarnia in Vallance’s place. Sir Amik’s advisors were Sir Vyvin and Sir Kuam Ferentse, in both ruling and military affairs. With the absence of the King, others stepped up to rule as royalty over Falador and its lands.

Some time later, turmoil and strife struck Falador, and rebellion shook the lands. It was during this time that the crown was seized by King James the Bold. He was succeeded by his son, Varis Salvian, when he renounced his position as king to embark on a mission to battle Tuska. Unfortunately, King James did not survive. His imperial Majesty Varis Salvian presently reigns as King of Asgarnia.

Post 4 :White Knight Ranks and Classes

Ranks

The ranks in the White Knights (based on those used by the NPCs) are as followed:


ENLISTED:

•Squire (Recruit)

•White Knight Initiate (Corporal)

•White Knight Proselyte (Sergeant)

•White Knight Acolyte (Lieutenant)

•White Knight Partisan (Captain)


OFFICERS:

*White Knight Lieutenant (General)

•White Knight Captain (Coordinator)

•White Knight Commander ((Deputy) Owner)

At the rank of Initiate+, it is strongly recommended to add the prefix ‘Sir/Dame’ in front of your display name or purchase the 'Sir/Dame' title from the loyalty shop.


Classes

Knights may chose between different combat classes to fit their characters once they reach the rank of Acolyte.

•Warrior: Warriors are often well-built, physically strong melee users. Warriors make up the majority of the order. They use white melee weapons such as swords, halberds, axes, and maces. Warriors wear the standard knight uniform for their rank.

•Mage: Mages are usually very wise thinkers. They use magical based combat. They are often called upon to deal with melee users. Mages use white staves or air staves and wear mystic robes with the cape of their rank (if applicable.)

•Ranger: Rangers often are stealthy and kill from a distance. They use different forms of archery and ranged weapons. They are effective against magical-based enemies. Rangers use steel crossbows or Saradomin bows as weapons. They wear white chainbodies, white plateskirts, white helms, and the cape of their rank (if applicable.)

Post 5: White Knight Enlisted Uniforms

Each rank has its own mandatory Standard Uniform which differs amongst each rank. Each unit is also presented with a ceremonial Formal Uniform, which remains constant amongst all ranks. During events, White Knights are encouraged to be wearing the White Knight Fatigues. Each uniform is listed below. Do note that default clothing from Thessalia’s shop is referenced many times.

Squire:
•Any default long-sleeved, white shirt or desert shirt
•Any default gray pants
•Leather gloves and boots
•Any backpack item such as Ava’s Device/Rambler’s Backpack
•Any Steel weapons
•Steel Helm

White Knight Initiate:
•White Med Helm
•White Chainbody
•White Platelegs
*White Gloves and Boots
•Any White weapons

White Knight Proselyte:
•White Full Helm
•White Chainbody
•White Platelegs

Post 7: The Squire Program

All squires are mandated to undergo and successfully pass the squire program before they are permitted to undergo a knighting ceremony. Each squire is assigned a mentor to assist them in their training. After completing their squire exam, all required training sessions, and a field exam, squires become eligible for knighting. There is no probation period - you will be a squire for as long as it takes you to successfully complete your training.

The training sessions will be carried out by the specialization masters. The categories that host training sessions are the armour, drill instructor, medic, cook, and scribe departments. You must complete at least one training session per section to complete this part of training.

The squire field exam will be the final test before knighting. The squire will be taken into the wilderness by the officers, and eventually left to their own devices. Their responses to various situations will be observed and they will be graded according to their performance.

A squire must also take a test concerning clan history and lore. The following questions may be present on any squire exam, as well as other questions. A score of 7/10 is required for passing. If failed, the exam can be retaken in 1 week.

Post 8: Rank Responsibilities

• Squire: Squires are the workhorses of the order. Tending to every need of their White Knight masters, squires learn what it means both physically and mentally to be a White Knight of Falador. Squires often work around the castle and tend to stay out of combat unless necessary.

• Initiate: Initiates are the backbone of the military order. They are often the front-line soldiers who see the most combat action. They work effectively in teams and are commanded by proselyte+.

• Proselyte: Proselytes are more experienced than initiates and have often seen more action. They command initiates and squires.

* Acolyte: Acolytes are very experienced in both combat and strategy. They are trusted with leading small groups of proselytes and initiates. They often partake in patrolling and guarding of higher value defenses.

• Partisan: Partisans are the most experienced of enlisted knights. They are masters on and off the battlefield and often train and command lower ranking knights. They serve as assistants to officers and are used as guards on important events.

• Lieutenant: Lieutenants are the lowest ranking officers. They take command and planning over smaller missions and assist higher officers.

• Captain: Captains work together to run the section. They do everything from organization, to book-keeping, to commanding battles. They're personal assistants to the commander(s).

* Commander: The Commander is in charge of supervising and running the section.

Post 9: Captain and Commander Duties

Clan Chat Rank: Owner (Lead Commander) or Deputy Owner (Co-Commander)

Extra information: There is a limit of 2 Commanders, one Lead Commander, and one Co-Commander. The Co-Commander may take on a job similar to those of the Captains.

Post 10: Specialization Tasks

There are certain optional specialization tasks knights may take on while on or off the battlefield. These tasks offer no benefits to the knights outside of the specified field.

Tasks include...

Chefs: Chefs prepare food for their section. They work alongside the quartermaster to ensure rations never run low.

Field Medics: Field medics are specially trained in medical techniques. They often operate in the front-lines.
• Vin Night (Head)

Sentries: Sentries are tasked with guarding. Sentries are often stationed at places such as the Falador Castle.

Drill Instructors: DI's carry out the training of squires and newly inducted knights. Some may also provide special training.
• Blade Cairan (Head Melee)
• Andrew Bixi (Head Archery)

Scribe: Scribes have an important role behind a desk. They document the history of the order and track knights and their progressions.

Armourer: Armourers help the knights in the order keep their armour well-maintained and operational. They outfit squires with their first suit of armour in their knighting ceremonies. If you are missing a piece of armour, the armourer is the one responsible for getting the piece to you.
