The Fremennik Games
A summer wind rolls upon the North, threatening to take up the Fremennik people away from the warmth of their fires, to desolate battlefields where kin may face kin. Fear of one's own brother, hatred of the stranger, can break this people apart and bind these clans together;
Yet there is one hope, one forge that can unify man and his tribes forevermore; a forge, which makes use of the great flames burning in their hearts and halls. A hope which can renew kinship, where it has been long lost to that cold, summer wind rolling upon the North.
That hope is sport.
So by decree of their young chieftain, the heralds step up and the people gather to hear his word. Whispers unheard, by the summer's wind, murmured through out the gathering.
Summary of the Fremennik Games
From this day, the Chieftain has declared a time of celebration and sport to be recognized throughout his lands; and so, he does invite his wardens of the northern provinces, Neitiznot and Jatizso, to form teams, which are to compete with Rellekka in a sport chosen for each month. The first opens this one and shall continue until closing in the cold Wintumber every year.
The best team of each sport will be made triumphant by winning the most matches and games of the chosen competition, either individually or as an entire team. This team shall be honored throughout the lands as the undisputed champion of this sport.
The best competitor of the winning team will be named champion of this sport, and shall be honored with the title and prestige which comes of it for the entirety of their lives.
The games will all be overseen by judges and referees from the Moon Clan. As such, all Fremennik of any and every kind are invited to spectate, and compete if they so wish, in this, a series of games which shall test the hearts, minds and muscles of all.
