Tomorrow, Saturday the 16th, at 3pm EST we have "City Ripped Asunder!" A plot launches following outbreak in the streets of Varrock, as Zamorakian gangs from the Southern Slums and Saradominist gangs from the Northern Wealthy district wage battle over a series of murders affecting both gangs, blaming the other respectively. Fight in the battle, timed for an hour, and potentially investigate the occurances!

Sunday the 17th, we have an event at 4pm EST called "Bleeding Heart for the Broken." It revolves around the emergence of a new horror fresh from the Heart of Gielinor, seeking ruthless vengeance on those she perceived as wronging her... Namely, she is targetting Guthixians and Vianists alike.

Description: For millenia, the Spiritual Mage Koronos was locked away in a vault full of knowledge from the ancient Zarosian Empire. Upon his escape, and subsequent madness, that knowledge was lost. This is an affront to the nature of the Remnant, and as a result the Praetor-Venatia has tasked Koronos with leading a small group of Zarosian operatives to retrace his steps through the frozen north in an attempt to rediscover the vault. For a group of elite agents of the Empty Lord, a simple reclamation mission should be child's play.

Were it so easy. Not impressed.

This would be sent to Sliskeans of high rank and prestige, a rare and trusted few of Deborah's allies.

I may not be a Guthixian, but I will say there is a balance and I've not done my part to keep it in check.

Sliske rose to power as a trusted being in the shadows for Zaros, alternated with the occasional show. I've not done enough from the shadows, and it is time to fix this.

Our enemies are cunning, and quick to learn from mistakes. Many more are nervous, and expect to wait until they have no choice but to fight. I have every intent to light a few fuses, and watch the explosions begin. My place on this stage was a mistake. I am no actor, I am a Director. And by Sliske's grin, I will learn from this mistake.

"BODY FOUND IN DRAYNOR, AUTHORITIES PUZZLED

A body of a dark skinned, inhumanly so woman was found hanging from a lamp-post in Draynor late last night. Scars adorn her face leaving a grin, she stands six feet tall, clad in purple blood stained clothing. Her hair was dyed, seemingly with the expensive purples produced by shellfish. Upon closer examination, some citizens identify her as the "Doll-Maker" a notorious legend of the Draynor area of a woman who steals away young people to create cruel, living sculptures of them for her own amusement.

More investigation is being done on this issue..."

"GANG WAR IN VARROCK

Varrockian Guard Lieutenant Jameson reports to the Gielinor Gazette a spike in gang violence. No, it seems this isn't between the Phoenix and Black Arm gangs, but has religious connotations as Saradominists strike Zamorakians and vice-versa. There is no further evidence at this time to support the war, but the Royal family has stood by the opinion that this spike will lead to a drop soon, and it is merely part of the cycle of gang activity."

Another Event! This coming Saturday, let us prepare for the River of blood Quest, by starting Rivers of Blood in Varrock's outskirts!

When: Saturday, April 23, 3pm EST
Who: Saradominists and Zamorakians
Why: Increased gang violence within the city has led to key Varrockians of faith dying.
What: A skirmish! We've not had one of these in a while.
This means there are limited numbers, with a preference to registered RPers.

Also noteworthy, is if you are interested in detective roleplay, I can do that until the next Monday, 4/25, to unravel this mystery. Who shot first?

"CULT OF ZAMORAK FOUND HANGING IN NORTH VARROCK

Five key figures of the Zamorakian Faith in Southern Varrock have been relocated, bodies hung by rope, yet their throats were slit. Local Varrockian Guard Lieutenant Jameson reports. "This increase in gang violence seems to be a vicious cycle of retaliation for a series of deaths. The five bodies hanging are identified by a captive Priest of Zamorak to be Zamorakian leadership. We can only assume the God Wars have resulted in waves of violence within our fair city.

This comes following the brutal display of a local Saradominist Bishop, a crozier found to be the cause of death used for impalement. At this time Varrockian Guards are acting to push this issue outside the city."

Leaflet droppers hired by masked individuals left their goods throughout the kingdoms for curious literates to find. They bore the message below with a broken chain stamp to mark it as official word from the Godless.


This is an urgent message to the people of Varrock and its ruling government: You are under serious threat. Make no mistake, what the press so eagerly tries to dismiss as gang violence is anything but. Scores of murderous fanatics prowl the streets for victims so they might shed blood in the name of their gods. The Godless urge definitive action be taken now before the crisis spills beyond Varrock's walls and further afield, where it might take root and perpetuate a war no sane person would want.

I lost my brother to the city's last religiously fuelled conflict. Needless to say, the order and I are fully committed to stopping these murderers before more innocent lives are lost. No one deserves to go through the pain of losing a loved one to these terrorists. If any of you reading are the least bit concerned, I ask that you push for an immediate response from the local authorities and inform them of any suspicious activity witnessed. Inaction won't save our city.
