And if there's really that many people in the Discord, it comes down to 'hey guys there's a thing on the forums if you could vote pls'. So.

by using the forums we become subject to moderation that isn't of our community; threads are susceptible to being spammed derailed etc
just as you don't use discord, a fair number of people don't use the forums; the only middle ground is to do both and try our best to not get them locked with a message saying "please do this in-game hehe"
