I just want to make the point that no community vote should be undertaken without everybody actually having the chance to vote. Put that on the forums, and let people actually voice the opinion about it.

Would stop things like this from happening anyways.

... Which would be a fair point if Discord was an exclusive application, but it isn't.

If someone hasn't joined it, it's of their own accord. All these sins disguised as blessings

Community discord with over half of the community not in it and moderated by people only on one side of the community split and the vote done by non-Mahj RPers (save Dim) who do nothing but ridicule anything to do with Mahj RP, nice Mods pls notice me

87 people, including Pyro (the one who started the poll) and several other mahjarrat RPers are in the "less than half" that voted

i also don't think Siberys and Croco are on either side of the split you mention

EDIT: i also don't think the "community split" issue is relevant

Sure, let's just make everybody go on Discord to vote on stuff when we totally have forums which are 100% less exclusive.

For the record, I don't disagree with the vote's result, I just think it's stupid to say 'you can always download it' when we have forums that serve the same purpose and doesn't force people into a chat they don't want to be in to simply cast a vote. "A silly ***** is what I'm going to call **** jokes from now on."

you don't have to download it, there's a browser version
it's not at all exclusive, you just have to ask to be invited and you're invited
more people are in the discord than the number that use the forums actively

It still comes back to people wanting to use the chats vs forums. I don't use Discord, and I know others don't too, so why should they be excluded from such a vote?

And if there's really that many people in the Discord, it comes down to 'hey guys there's a thing on the forums if you could vote pls'. So. "A silly ***** is what I'm going to call **** jokes from now on."
