Grace/Racial Powers: Akira, due to her being an Ice Kitsune, has the ability to manipulate and control ice. In addition she has the basic Kitsune abilities to teleport and move at great speed. However, Akira is not aware of these powers as of right now, and therefore does not use them save for being a bit faster and having slightly better reflexes than a normal human.

Talents/Skills: Akira, having spent most of her life growing up around the Arc region of the Wushanko Isles, mostly spent her time training with sword tutors her wealthy family paid for. Accompanied by her speed and reflexes, Akira is a formidable swordswoman even at her young age.

Weapons/Specialized Tools: Her mother’s old sword.

Weaknesses: Akira is still very young in the eyes of the Kitsune, and has not even developed her first tail. She therefore has no access to her own powers right now save for being a bit faster and more reflexive than a normal human. Also, due to being an ice kitsune, heat makes her very uncomfortable.

Appearance: Jet-black hair and a rather lithe build, stands at 5’9” and has pale blue eyes.

Brief History: Born in the Arc region of Wushanko to the wealthy House Koshu merchant family. Her father, Haruki Kos*u, was one of the wealthiest men in their small village, and carried high esteem. He married a much younger (or so it appeared) woman named Tami. Tami was a relatively powerful Kitsune that, although appearing young, was three centuries old. Tami and Haruki lived a fairly normal life, with Haruki spoiling Tami with gifts and the like. Eventually, the two gave birth to a daughter, who they named Akira.

Tami recognized she could not keep her true self secret anymore, as their daughter would begin to display her Kitsune abilities when she came of age. Tami told Haruki her secret, which did not go over well with him. Tami found that Haruki’s nature as a fairly proper and honest businessman meant that he was very much against any kind of dihonesty, and took it as a personal offense. Furthermore, he had grown up on the isle of Goshima, an isle which greatly distrusted those not of human descent. He did not leave Tami, however, as he did not wish for the people of the village to talk and for his reputation to be tarnished with having to either lie his way out of why he had left his wife and daughter, or tell the truth and be revealed as having been duped for years by his own wife, and possibly even laughed at for believing her to be a Kitsune, as they were basically the stuff of legends.

Years of an awkward and tense house life followed for Akira. Her parents barely spoke to each other, and lived at separate ends of their large manor. Her father would pay for whatever tutors or books she desired. She read constantly, not developing much of a social connection with anyone. She spent time with her mother as well, learning of the ancient legends of the Kitsune, as her mother had elected not to tell her daughter the truth after what had happened when she told Haruki. Of course, this meant that Akira never quite understood that her tense home life was odd in anyway. She did not learn that a husband and wife generally loved each other, and did*’t avoid all contact within the same house. After reading several stories of old heroes from the East and the West, she told her father to hire a swordsman to teach her. He did, and they trained for her remaining 8 years in the Arc.

One day, Akira came home from her classes at her personal teacher’s house to find a strange man in her living room. Said man was talking to her father about how he should move to the mainland, that the Rift was beautiful or something along those lines. The man left soon after, and in a couple of days Akira found her father moving the whole family across the ocean to the strange and alien city of Ardougne. She did*’t know the customs or the culture here, and was even more reclusive than before. What’s more, she did*’t have any of her tutors anymore. Over the past two months, Akira has noticed her father acting strangely. He paid attention to his wife, and even insisted on family dinner. This bizarrely changed behavior also put Tami on alert. She realized that someone was controlling her husband’s mind, and did*’t tell her daughter. Akira is currently very confused as to what is happening to her once simple life.

Even though I was never in it and probably won't ever be, I'm happy to see this return because it has a legacy of being a genuinely unique scene that fostered good roleplayers. Keep up the good work, Hobie. Save yourself.

Grace/Racial Powers:
Strength Development: Volund's ability to increase his strength and muscular density is potent enough to be considered entirely supernatural, and it is entirely plausible that this is a Grace. As an assorted power, it is assumed that his body strengthens as well, to keep him from being torn apart by his own power.

Talents/Skills:
Tracker- As with more than a few northerners, Volund's childhood was spent in the forests with his father, learning the old ways and hunting dinner. In forests, grassland, and tundra, he can track prey long distances. He has no ability to track in desert environments.

Heavy Weapons- Years of practice swinging his massive slab of steel around have given Volund a unique subconscious understanding of the intricacies of weight and balance, allowing him to make the most of any given heavy object or weapon.

Slayer-Volund's travels and entirely frequent misadventures and fights have given him keen insight into how best to slay most opponents, non-humanoid and otherwise. As of now, this expertise does not extend to Eldritch Abominations.
