Right! So.
In slightly more than the two weeks since I first posted here on the forums, I've been slowly trying to understand the lay of the current climate here in the in-game Roleplaying forums. It has been an interesting time reading and interacting with the numerous colourful people located here on W42, many of which were wonderful and accommodating. There have been many back and forths with how the established groups here interact with each other, how many years of development of characters, relations both IC and OOC have and are currently playing out, and... I've come to the same conclusion more than half of you have reached.
W42, while welcoming to new players, is entirely unwelcoming after a briefest brush on the top layer. I could go on about the many exposure I've only gleaned at with briefest of attention, but honestly? The only people who would read this post are those who are intimately familiar with the current situation. As such, I'm writing this for you, dear residents of World 42.
There is nothing you can do.
For that comment alone, I'm certain that this post will, rightfully, be taken down as flamebait. It is, but it's written with good intentions. I am hoping that in some way that this will be a wake up call. I am however completely certain that it won't be. Because the sides have very clearly been drawn into the sand, and there is no budging on either side. Unless you actually heed the words you yourselves have uttered, World 42 will be mourned only by its history, but not its passing.
