This is a roleplay group based around Player-Owned-Kingdoms , where the players take on the important roles of the kingdom's leaders. Joining this group means working together in a grand story about how a new court of people will shape out the future for Ardougne. With new leaders, new members and new ideas for the kingdom we hope to stimulate:

• Developing a POK character of your own as you interact with the group.
• Interaction between the active kingdoms of World 42 and Ardougne.
• Enjoying the political and worldbuilding themes we offer to everyone.

And of course many other things you can think of that would make for a good and fun kingdom's narrative. Wether you want to be an army general, a minister of public commerce, relationship therapist to the queen, there is hopefully a seat at the Court of Ardougne for you. You can read all the information you need to join the group here but don't be afraid to ask questions if you have any.

Before you join you must know a thing. This is a Player Owned Kingdom. These characters are the scheming politicians, fame hungry socials and glorious conquerors of this world.

Just because they are all united under the Ardougne Banner, doesn’t mean you are safe from antagonistic acts even when you are part of the group itself. To give you a general idea why you should join this Kingdom,


in a kingdom we get to govern together. Set up welfare projects for West Ardougne. Stimulate fighting for religious freedom through newspapers. Plan a militairy action against a foreign nation with the Court of Ardougne. Open up a business with support of the crown. This will be the main focus of this group.


to stimulate a bit of interaction within the group itself. These can range from market day, to religious ceremonies, all the way to long plots that will drag you all over Gielinor as you go about your Kandarin/Ardougne based business. These will mostly focus on the people part of Ardougne.


is also something we’d like to offer and stimulate. This will include things like political schemes and attacks on areas actually used by other groups in the POK narrative. The Kingdom is well aware that antagonism isn’t always appreciated by groups that directly experience it in their group. We shall enter the dialogue around making this happen open minded and keep in mind the fun of the other group.

As mentioned before, this is an Player Owned Kingdom roleplay group. We roleplay the people in charge of Ardougne and so, the setting is dynamic and some do consider it a competitive one. that all members should comply to, you are free to do so as you please when you come with good arguments to do so. But, to prevent unwanted out-of-character issues and to keep the group fun for everyone,



If another member is plotting against another member, we stress that this is only an in-character interaction. The characters themselves should have the reasons to act unethically towards another character, not the roleplayers themselves.We ask that we can all interact with one another naturally, but with appropriate amounts of respect for the narrative of the other players on the server.


This means that it is generally a good idea, for the continuity of your character and your own fun, to accept that you are not always the one calling the shots. Obey the orders, the law and show respect appropriate to your in- character position at the given setting and you’ll last much longer. Out-of-character your characters’ status mean nothing.


The Kingdom of Ardougne hopes to stick to court centered , political and slice of life based roleplay. Take a good look what you'll find amongst their royal and noble ranks and you’ll quickly see no Icyenes, Trolls or Vampyres there. We do not do this to ban out the snowflakes but to keep the narrative realistic and fitting for the themes of the group.

Business & Guild People

I want you to write a letter as the character you wish to join with

, simple as that. What I want to focus on with this group is in-character dialogue and development. Simply giving me the deeds of your character is a boring way to introduce yourself into the story of us worldbuilding Ardougne together.

So write me something.

Tell me what your character wants to do in the kingdom of Ardougne, what kind of position they desire on the court or how they want to make their guild known. I’m lenient and willing to talk a lot of things over, but do keep the character pointers in mind when you design your character(s) for the group.

Do keep in mind our low numbers of people

and that I can’t deliver an army for a general or a workforce for a building company. I hope to extend some of the usual ‘GM-rights’ that come with leading a POK towards the players, into saying that I won’t mind if you grant your character a considerable NPC like following to enrich the story. Be reasonable and don’t abuse this to trample In-character rivals/competitors under unfair amounts of NPC based actions.

The Queen

As Ardougne functions as an absolute monarchy, the Queen is the law of the land.

Royal Court

Seated in the Royal Court of Ardougne are the Queen's advisors and key administrators of the kingdom. The heads of the military, treasury, diplomacy, and intelligence, all have a place at this table. Royal advisors also get a seat at the Royal Court and these can be selected for all sorts of forms of expertise that the Queen might deem handy.

Vassals

The vassals of Ardougne, which rule their respective regions, are free to raise their own levies in times of war and maintain their own guard forces under their own direction. However, all must contribute a quarter of their available manpower to the Royal Army of Ardougne.

The Legends’ Guild

Currently operates as an independent guild for legendary adventurers all over Gielinor and beyond. The Kingdom of Ardougne holds no sway over what happens with the Guild and has full faith such an esteemed Guild will always act in the name of good. There is currently no head of the Guild.

The Fishing Guild

Highly regarded by the Queen herself, this guild specialises on mastering the skill of fishing. Expert fishermen and –women would be coming here to compete is sporting events and perfecting their skills alongside others. Their techniques yield the Kingdom of Ardougne’s food supply to never be short on fish. There is currently no head of the Guild.
