The Control Observe and Destroy initiative of the Aren Arcane Institute is an anomaly and slayer research organization that contains extreme threats to life, studies them, and tries to find a way to destroy them. Those that work in these facilities are mostly considered dispensable, often coming from prisons across gielinor for a chance at freedom.

Facilities

Site 0
Located in [REDACTED] Asgarnia, Site 0 is the most public of the AAI’s [REDACTED] facilities. More commonly referred to as ‘La Fosse’, translated into Common, meaning, ‘The Pit’. Its public declassification is due to its use as a prison for magical offenders, as well as beings of classification [REDACTED] and higher. All access requests and queries are to be directed to The Gardener.

Site 0 is divided into three subsections:

-Subsection Law(L), designated for magical criminal offenders of laws of the Kingdom of Asgarnia not suited for more mundane prisons.
-Subsection Chaos(C), designated for magical humanoids of classification [REDACTED] and higher, elementals, and demonic entities.
-Subsection Death(D), Designated high security, contains [DATA EXPUNGED]

Each Subsection is separated by upwards of 1,000 meters of stone and earth, each Subsection broken down into numerous floors, each separated by up to 30 meters of stone and earth, with the only available method of traversing the Subsections and their various floors being a lift in the center.

The lift does not encompass the entirety of the gap that is Site 0, and falling is an extreme possibility without proper usage of preventative gear. The lift is outfitted with harnesses which are to be used whenever the lift is in operation.

In total, the overall depth of Site 0 is [DATA EXPUNGED].

Long term exposure of the air within Site 0 is reported to cause bouts of temporary madness, with symptoms lessening as the victim spends time above ground away from the Site. Reports grow in intensity as subjects descend lower into the lower levels of the Site, culminating with extreme, and sometimes permanent, symptoms on level [REDACTED], Subsection [REDACTED].

This effect has been documented and studied under logs labelled: AAI-0-01

Located in the [DATA EXPUNGED] sea, Site 62 is one of the more secluded of the AAI’s [REDACTED] facilities. Housing a total of [REDACTED] objects, Site 62 is to be run exclusively by Agent Old Blood. Any seeking entry will require Agent Old Blood’s direct invitation. Any others will be denied even the acknowledgment of the existence of Site 62.

Public Locations

Below are listed written locations in which the Aren family operate


The Pale Manor

Where the Aren children are raised and the family is served. Four stories of birch, and white victorian styled beauty. This is the public mailing address for the Aren Family and is most usually the public meeting area.

Keep L'Aren

Keep L'Aren: Built by laborers in the gulf of Catherby under order of Lady Keeper Cadava, or Vynriette, Aren, this building is made for the family. On the first floor, there is a large dinner room, and a wash room, and a kitchen. The second story houses five apartment rooms, A guardsman's bunk room, and a study. The top and third floor houses the council office, a special door only allowing those holding select objects to enter.

Aspera Tower

Not much is known about this tower or even where it lays other than official files in Asgarnias secret file room. This tower has been used well to train Asgarnian magi aswell as other folk that can afford the tuition.

The Vault of Souls

A series of underground chambers beneath Kandarin. It goes down for what seems to be forever. At its very bottom lies Galethorn's Crystal, a large gem that hold the power of all who have been drained with Galethorn's battlestaff. The Aren dead are buried here.

The Boneyard

Hidden in the far recesses of Arandar, south as the crow flies from Duskfort, the boneyard is a macabre collection similar to the Vault of Souls, but of far more physical remains, and not only the family's. It is a great place of power for any bone mages and the resting place of Grandmaster Morbidia Aren.
