A letter arrives on the desk of Brock Avery from a courier who's journey was rough. The courier has scratches and cuts on his body from rushing through forests and being hit by trees. The letter has no markings or ribbons and looks to be from that of a peasant. The letter reads:
Dear King Brock Avery of Kandarin,
It is me, Anya. I am alive and safe but I write to you, not only to tell you that, but to ask you to not allow Arcain, my father, to leave for Varrock to save me. I am fine so long as he does not come. It is a trap for him, set by the Worshippers and he will be killed if he comes. Please, uncle, do not allow him to come. I hope this gets to you, and I will always love you.
Sincerely,
Your Loving Niece,
Anya Layne
The Letter itself would not be of her hand but of someone else's. If Brock knows Ptolemy Dean's hand, he would recognize it to be his. The only portion written by Anya would be that of the signature.
