First Visit


During a routine culling of the juvenile worm population, a group of White Knights led by Acolyte Reese came across a mage that had found her way into the tunnels through an additional entrance.

The mage revealed that she had made a handful of trips into the caves, mapping out the area as well as taking notes on what she had found inside.

The knights requested that she show them the entrance she had come from, and from there the knights of Outpost Basilisk offered Dawn Lakewood a space within their camp to work out of while she attempted excursions into the caves to study the worms.

Appearance of the Mature Worm


A few days later, the White Knight Auxiliary Dawn Lakewood asked for another trip to be organized. When the group attempted to make their way inside through the entrance situated within Outpost Basilisk, they were met with a series of echoing sounds.

The noises culminated in the appearance of a massive worm, later to be called their "Mature" form. Its showing was accompanied by a strange figure that leaked various energies that would be identified identified as energy sources from the Abyssal Plane, something similar to the creatures found on Infernus, and Pest energy located on the Void Knight outpost in the Southern Sea.

Several experiments were run on the worm carcass, including the cooking of a small portion of their flesh which was decided as edible though requiring a long time to tenderize.

Where Natural Meets Artificial


Among the group of volunteers gathered that morning were the notable appearances of heavily armored man only known as Nexus and a woman known as Olivia Keys, Joined by Elanor Harvenworth and Garris Ainsborne, the party of four decided to handle the exploration of the third sector.

It was during the uneventful trip to the third cavern that Elanor brought up the question of whether the caves were entirely natural. While it was thought the worms and water had a large amount of time to work the land, certain things seemed far too incidental. With this in mind, the party of four made their way deeper.

The first portion of the third sector was a large cavern, barren of everything but the glowing "moss", the chamber opened up on one side to the central shaft, streams of water spilling over the edge.

When they reached the next area, they found a Mature Worm eating away at motionless worm of similar size. With the hope of avoiding unnecessary conflict on their minds, the group made their way around the cavern. After a close altercation with two Adolescents in a tunnel, the group safely continued.

The branching flow of water brought the four to a sizable chamber in which several streams of water flowed into, creating a pool of water in the center. With easily accessible paths to the right, the group decided to head downwards, avoid another potential conflict with the two worms drinking from the pool.

The tunnel they had chosen was covered in copper veins, the group progressing slow to note the first amount but afterwards Elanor merely made a simple note for each appearance.

In time the party found themselves at an expansive chamber that would later be called "The Grand Hall". With their number of four and unsure of their supplies, they decided to teleport out, satisfied with their findings for the day.
