I also beat Jasmine in my mono Grass run in Gold (the original I downloaded on my 3DS) mostly with my highest levelled mon, a level 27 Bayleef. Mud Slap is such a useful move. Repeatedly did soft reset to get a good iv spread adamant dratini with extremespeed.
Ended up one with 31 iv hp, 20 iv atk, 30 iv def, 9 iv spa, 20 iv spd, 30 iv spe. Time to ev train it to 252 atk, 252 spe, 4 def

Ribombee has, in my opinion, among the cutest Shiny forms yet. That and it's pretty damn strong as well.

Yea im not too into shines myself as i like the normal colors better.
I make an exception for the red gyarados though.
