What does Debbie Harry and Ted Bundy have to do with driverless cars?
Yeah your right, but the inside of the car had no wind down windows and being unable to unlock the door from the inside made it driverless from a passenger point of view.
You'd think they would test things out a bit more before introducing these changes. We're operating (or not) large machinery; a giant speeding bullet effectively. We should be alert enough to over-ride the system incase it fails. This is Homer Simpson power plant stuff!

There have been crashes involving autonomous vehicles. Laws and local courts will interpret and process these cases different depending on city, state, country, etc. Typically before initiating driving, there's a limited liability disclosure that a person agrees to when operating the vehicles. Malfunctions, and errors aren't statistically impossible. It does seem that autonomous vehicles are largely safer, and less accident prone than traditional cars which are susceptible to human error.
I for one do not like the idea of driverless cars. What would stop a smart hacker from weaponizing one? The same goes for hackers from hostile countries.
Don't ever think the reason I am peaceful is because I do not know how to be violent.
