@Jokku

"About that project, I didn't get the whole picture (picture would help), so I don't really know how it's supposed to work. But about spring constant... when you measure it, be sure to take multiple data points with different weights. For many things the spring constant isn't actually constant, or is constant only in some weight area."

Yeah I'm not the best explainer. I do have a diagram, but obviously we can't send pictures over the forums lol. And thanks for the heads up on the spring constant.

Anyway, I have to get ready to go to school, so see you later.

A camera is similar to an eye. I'll probably come back tomorrow to explain more about it. Make RuneScape Great Again usually on at 3:00 PM PST

It's not going to be the physics behind the eye, but I did come across and interesting article about harnessing power from wifi. The waves are electromagnetic, so they travel at the speed of light, and a wave is basically traveling energy. It converts the wifi into DC power. Though one concern is the amount of power that could even be harnessed from this. Make RuneScape Great Again usually on at 3:00 PM PST

The average eyeball is about 2.4cm in diameter, but certain people can have shortened eyeballs and this is known as Hyperopia. And an elongated eyeball is Myopia. Both affect the afflicted with blurry vision. A sufferer of Hyperopia has what's called a near point that is farther away than 25cm, but has a normal far point which is "infinitely far away". This means that anything within the sufferer's near point is blurry and a sufferer is called farsighted. A sufferer of Myopia has a normal near point, but the far point is not normal because the sufferer can only see clearly within a certain range of let's say 200cm when the individual really needs to see "infinitely far away." This means that the sufferer can't see anything clearly far away and is considered nearsighted.

To correct these anomalies, a sufferer is prescribed eyeglasses or contact lenses. When I was working on a homework assignment yesterday, I came across a problem that said a person can have both problems and their vision can be corrected using something called bifocals.

If we look at this equation

1/f = 1/**i + 1/d_o

f = focal length, but an optometrist is more interested in knowing the diopter which is 1/f.

d_i = image distance

d_o = object distance

A normal eye should have something that looks like this

1/f = 1/.25 + 1/(infinity)

This is set up to find the diopter for a nearsighted person because we want to be able to see infinitely far away, but the vision is limited to 200cm.

1/f = 1/(-2) + 1/(infinity)

This is the set up to find the diopter for a farsighted person because we want to have a near point that is 25cm, but the real near point is much farther away like 40cm.

1/f = 1/.25 - 1/.40

Ah I probably lost some of you lol. But at least I have to try, and maybe someone understood parts of it. Note to myself, never be a teacher lol.

While talking about eyes... Why does some people wear glasses and some not?
A normal eyeball is more rounded but when it grows and turns slowly oval (egg shaped) then our ''lens'' will become blurry. This can also be genetic. People who shows more outdoors will have lower chance to get short-sighted. Being a computer/game/tv nerd, there is still no evidence if this affects to get short-sighted. But sunlight and D-vitamin and from fishes are good anti short-sight.

Back to Pentominoes (a twelve pieces puzzle with different shapes on the pieces).

The box 3x4x5 has 3940 solutions.
Solutions are invariant for rotations or reflections of the entire box.

I have tried and used my brain to solve this puzzle but could only find around 10 solutions (a completed box).

Also this 3x4x5 box has 3940 solutions, finding just one solution is already really hard.
12 pieces to fit in a 3x4x5 box. I love this puzzle. You can spend hours without solving it :D

This is a 3D version of the Pentominoes.
Standard Pentominoes are 2D.

Everyone has heard that security glass can stand hammer crushes and such without breaking.
I recently saw a scientist video about how to break a security glass.
They used a big nail and a hammer and put the nail in a corner of the security glass where the spot is weaker than the rest and used the hammerhead on the nail and the security glass split in one hit. In this, the hammer transfered its power to the nail's tip which resulted a big strike and this hit was powerful.

Confirmation:

The lesser the final area is on the hitting object then the power will be inccreased at the end.

More power is concentrated on the smaller area from the bigger area (hammerhead --> nail tip).
