Question: Having previously had a unified tongue, how long did it take you to learn to control your "tongue tails"(I don't know what you call them) like that?

to give a long answer.
to speak again 1 week ish (after stitches came out it was a lot easier)
to have no lisp about 5 weeks. (i was sounding a lot like daffy duck during those 5 weeks)

to eat 1 week, i had liquid diet first week (i gained weight though as i tried to drink as many calories as possible, i believe i was getting 4000-5000 calories a day)

however after all that. to answer what im sure you were wanting to know. to move them independently of each other it was about a year of practice. some people have a split tongue for years and are never able to move them independently

but the overall movement of my tongue wasnt altered as when its in your mouth its still together as if its one.

How come you were consuming so many calories, was that due to diet/gym regime or to recover?
